I dont understand why HBO couldnt have just transitioned into an App Based boxing subscription surely money isnt an issue and they had the software engineers to do it.

DAZN, PBC, they dont deliver the big fight "feel" and dont hype up a fight like HBO could. Also DAZN's commentary is GOD AWFUL.

I miss HBO Championship boxing & boxing after dark, too!
They were EVENTS! I'd have a people over for fights every month, sometimes 2 times a month for their fights! Their matchmakers were great. Its a shame cause I dont get that same feeling as I did for these new boxing channels/promoters.

TR/ESPN just aint got it. DAZN is meh. And PBC/Fox/Show, for all the the boxers they have just arent making the quality fights that everyone wants to see; or if they are, theyre drowning the market with too many ppv's.

I guess we got what we wished for....more boxing but not enough quality or too many ppv's

Early/mid-2000s HBO Boxing will always be the gold standard, both in-ring and presentation.

If this is what you think of lampley I really would like to know what you think of sergio mora because that guy shouldnt be within 10 feet of a microphone! He is absolutely atrocious.

one thing i have to say and im trying not to sound like a hater, but honestly most PBC productions look outright amateurish compared to HBO. Like i know we cant expect much out of a FS1 broadcast but even the PBC PPV looked like it was FNF
Sometimes I think it's nostalgia but then I listen to the banter between commentators today and I realise I'm not wearing rise tinted glasses. I'm witnessing sh**te. I need Lampley's energy and Merchants snidey quips. It was a wonderful combo although I didn't appreciate it at the time and hated them at times.
