Duva says Canelo ain't even made an offer yet, so change yer pantaloons and move on until Canelo actually signs a contract.
Nah, I'm good. I was talking about catch weights in general. Show me where I specifically mentioned Canelo.

Anway, if Canelo wants to fight Kovalev at 170 for a LH belt, is that a catch weight or not?

Higher weight clases means less weight classes separate them and more weight you have to move. Those tiny weights you can eat a bowl of cereal and move up 2 weight classes. Stop making excuses for Pacquiao making a career forcing bigger men to drop weight and catchweights to fight him.
Just goes to show how good clen, canelo tried 155, trying to make heavier fighters come down, lighter fighters come up, dehydration clauses, peds, he's tried everything

GGG agreed to fight Ward at 168 in 2013. Ward wasn't ready to fight.

Ward was chasing a fight with Floyd at 160, but wouldn't fight GGG at 164.

Ward was never ready to fight GGG, never offered to fight him immediately.

And still a bigger risk than most active fighters take.

Who else is taking risks like that?

Remember when GGG wanted to go to 168 to fight Chavez Jr but told Ward that he’d only fight him at a catchweight of 164lbs? LOL.

The "dare to move up and be great!" stuff is such a joke.

The same people who complain (rightly) that we have no clear picture of where anyone stands in any division are the ones calling for fighters to "move up and dare to be great".

To the fighters it's not daring to be great. It's an excuse to play games with the title organizations & make 5x the money in a circus match nobody will blame you for losing.

I'm impressed with fighters who have the dignity & conditioning to fight at their natural weight their entire career, which shouldn't cover more than a couple divisions once they hit adulthood.

Reducing the # of weight divisions in boxing would be one thing, but catchweight/starvation BS & keeping the divisions we have in perpetual disarray... It's not interesting. The novelty of seeing Canelo in there with Kovalev or GGG with Ward would last about 5 seconds.

Then the guy who got his way on the scales would take over and everyone would shrug and struggle to watch a lopsided joke they spent 2 years arguing about.

3 links that are pretty unbiased -
A video interview with unbeaten super-middleweight champion Andre Ward has stirred up his rivalry with unbeaten middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin.

Golovkin vs Ward: Who Is Ducking Who? Matt O'Brien takes a close look at the war of words between boxing champs Andre Ward and Gennady Golovkin.

It's possible to think of better unmade fights right now than Andre Ward vs Gennady Golovkin, but the list only goes a couple fingers, tops. The two have danced around each other for the last couple years, each side accusing the other of not really wanting to lambada. But at this precise moment, it's easy…

Can you share some links ?
