GGG already beat Canelo twice IMO (and that of most who scored the fights), so he probably shouldn't have to jump through hoops for the third fight. However, I have no problem with Canelo telling him to get a belt first.

And there is no reason to believe he’d get a fair shake in a fight with Charlo or Andrade.

He has three options for a belt. He’s the WBA mandatory and Brant holds that belt.

Brant is better than Jermall or Andrade and if he beats him Canelo is still the main champ and he would only be a jr champ. He should fight for a title where he will be the full champion and Canelo won't be in the picture. That means going to 168 for Smith or Saunders or beating the WBO middleweight champ if Canelo doesn't beat him to it.

Unlike GGG vs Andrade I actually like this fight. Hope this one happens.

If Canelo is doing his own novelty fight thing outside of 160 then GGG needs to do SOMETHING interesting & take a risk or else he's leaving the door open for Andrade or this Maciej cat (if he beats Andrade, which I don't think is THAT crazy to go down) being next up in May too since they do have a belt (even if its a paper bs title cuz BJS is f#cking dummy) & pushing himself out til Sept. 2020 which might be a disaster for him being as old as he is.

Idk who I'd be picking in that fight. Mall is still pretty unproven, but GGG is old & past prime. At some point a unproven guy who actually gots it is gonna overtake the old guy who's shown he gots it, but maybe he don't got it quite like he used to. I think Mall gots it, but I don't have 100% confidence I'm correct in that stance.
