Keep plugging along, Floyd. They said the same thing about Hopkins.

Im aware he is a punk ass.
But I think he should have erased the baldy loss before the Floyd fight.
Would have made it alot more marketable.

No, he was rocked bad in the 7th, and ran for dear life, but was never dropped.
Hence a bit of controversy, because the judges seemed to give Baldy the 10-8.

Mayweather does get hated on alot, that goes along with perceived invincibility. I for one am just impatient. Mayweather is the man, there is no getting around that. I just want to know who he is fighting next, and he isn't giving me an answer fast enough. I am impatient in these issues, I need to know NOW. I have been very disappointed in the last 3 years at his choice of opponents. Mayweather needs to announce a fight against credible opposition soon, and not later.

Bernard was just looking for big money fights. Mayweather hasnt had a meaningful fight since 135. He is just picking up belts. Where Hatton fought Kosta at 140. Mayweather is at 147 and is avoiding Marg. plain and simple. Biggest payday of his career and right in front of him and he is going for Spinks. Dela said no..Shane said no. should be seeing Mayweather vs Marg. period Mayweather cant hold Hopkins jock strap.
Still things you seem to not know about boxing to. You say hopkins was looking for bigmoney fights, anyone with a brain could see he wasn't going to get them at the middleweight for the first part of his carrer if it meant fighting someone who could beat him. After the trinidad fight warren and don king agreed a calzaghe v hopkins match for $3mill to take place in the USA; Hopkins went and asked for $6mill later on knowling pricing him self out of that fight. $3mill then surly would of been the biggest purse of his carrer to that date, after his next to fights took place in PA? fighting people for small amounts of money.. think one was under $1mill...

People talk about hopkins as if he is this amazing fighter who beat some of the best fighters he could... Looking back at his record i see 2 names that should be respectable wins... Johnson and tarvaer. Tito was never a middle weight and neither was ODLH, no matter how great they were below that weight hopkins was always going to beat them at middle. Glencoffe was a good fight for hopkins to win, so was tarver, although i think he was way overrated...

It's funny how so many seemd to be duped in the "wow hopkins took on those guys at his age" (jaoylor and tarver) it is more a case of he took them on BECAUSE he was that age. I think it is well known he was after one thinkg, money... yes yes i am well aware that he i said about him not taking the calzaghe fight for $3m or he never moved up. He stayed put knowing full well he could stay at middle and go on without any realy danger to him self lossing for years and make themoney to the later stage of his carrer.. and thats what happend.. a mega pay-day for ODLH fight, $3mill for freaking easterman fight! and god only knows how much for the taylor fights and tarver.. but imo he took the last 3 fights knowing win or losse the excuse of his age was there and it would not harm his legacy one bit, more so improve it..

Now don't get me wrong, i am not a hopkins hater, i am a some what fan.. but that doesn't mean i have to delude my self into seeing something that isn't really there.
