Why all the hate on GGG's resume?

I mean...I've heard most of the arguments already...but that talking point about GGG I've just never really understood.

I can understand if people just don't like a guy and want to root against him lol...and to be fair I think there is valid of criticism of any fighter and GGG is no different.

But as far as resume...guys very rarely have a clear win over a HOFer in their prime...I would argue GGG did that against Canelo but honestly not really the main point of the thread.

But if the attack on him is 'who else' other than Canelo...I mean many guys don't have a non-controversial clear win over a HOFer in their prime...because HOFers very rarely clearly lose in their prime, that's mainly why they are HOFers ya know.

I just think 15 KOs over good fighters, all in their relative primes, all at basically their best weight (Brook a notable exception) is really solid...especially to never have a hiccup in those fights and to win them all clearly.

GGG has never been the 'home' fighter and had to get a favorable decision in there as well...just think it is very respectable to handle business like that and never even go 12 rounds or have a hint of controversy in about 15 fights like that.

So yeah...Murray, Lemieux, Brook, Monroe, Geale, Ouma, Stevens, Macklin, Vanes, Proksa, Rubio, Adama, Ishida, Rosado, Rolls all by KO...I mean if he was struggling in half of those to get a decision I would agree with a lot of the criticism but never happened there.

Even the Jacobs/Canelo fights...I mean he outlanded them in 27/33 rounds (3 ties)...that certainly doesn't mean he takes all those rounds, but certainly an indication of his skill level and ability to box.

And when you factor in his punch stats with the fact that everyone acknowledges he is a big puncher, just leads to a lot of clear rounds for him from what I saw...and if he doesn't win it, it is usually a close round imo...he is just too active usually and landing too much.

So yeah interested in some nuanced arguments for or against it if anyone is interested. Or even some comparisons of who particularly has a better resume as a current fighter etc. I just think when I've really looked at GGG's stuff compared to other guys it has stacked up very well.

Because it’s garbage. His official record is 1-1-1 with 0 ko’s... could easily be 0-3

Because he isnt American. Only America matters, the rest of the world is inferior. All the racist, hateful or negative replies to this thread will come from Americans.

I mean I'm American...but yeah I get your point in a way...everyone is pretty racist though imo, not just Americans or any one race.

I think a lot of fighters get ridiculous/overly emotional things said about them as well...Floyd has haters, Pac, Canelo as well...every great fighter does.

But the narrative about GGG's resume is just always a strange one to see...I guess when you knock everyone out it's the only angle sometimes? Idk...

Lol...I mean the 15 guys he KOed were all good and in their primes...not many fighters ever have a run like that over good prime fighters...

Idk man I think those were all 3 really straightforward fights to score for GGG...if the other guys fought the way GGG did and vice versa, I would have scored it for Canelo twice and for Jacobs all day.

27/33 rounds outlanding your guy...pretty impressive...in a neutral setting I don't think there is any real debate about who the winner of those 3 fights is...but Canelo is the Cash King so it is what it is, that's boxing...doesn't really bother me, the official ruling on those...Canelo brings in too much money so he will always get the breaks, and he is a great fighter as well so he doesn't need too many usually

Golovkin was like a QVC product, not as good as advertised.

He is great at defending eurolevel titles like ibo, and has once stepped up to win a world title in the ring too, but anytime he tried to do what greats do he cant, so its odd people call him great.

TS don’t forget that most experts picked GGG in the first fight to completely destroy canelo who was the smaller guy moving up almost all the so called experts had ggg ko or stoppage.

That didn’t happen and in the 2nd fight he got beat by the smaller guy. The Jacobs win is obviously his best win but alotta non biased fans had that fight a draw.

So the rest of his wins are pretty much c level victories.
