Nice strawman there. I never said Palm strikes>boxing, but you did make the laughable comparison to slaps

Spoiler alert: most legit street fights don't include the dirty fighting you're talking about unless it's two ****** women fighting over the same baby daddy, or two 40-year old bikers.

I'm talking about street fights between two dudes that just have a gripe for some reason and need to settle it like men.

Back on the streets they happened all the time, usually because one dude mouths off about something and someone else gets offended and they have to knuckle up. They're not trying to kill the other person, they're trying to shut them up and humble them.

      Case-in-point: Katt Williams.

If you are talking about the Kimbo Slice type macho man fights then you are correct. Two guys trying to throw down like Ali vs Foreman. I was talking about sudden, emotional fights that erupt out of an arguement, either on the street or in a bar. Ive seen a couple dozen bar fights (watching from the stage) and none of them were PPV worthy.

Paulie looked rediculous with those hand pads at the post conference lol. As if he hasn't made a fool out of himself, he shows up to the post conference all patched up when he was talking all that shiiet prior to the fight.

I wouldn't necessarily say that although clearly its more towards the benefit of the aggressor types. More importantly doe for this fight its not for brittle type mfers which Paulie is.

The facts are Paulie won the first two rounds & then hurt his hand & then didn't do enough after that to nick one more round concerned with the pain/injuring his hand worse. He didn't lose cuz of running. He lost cuz he was brittle/couldn't handle the pain.

I've broken slabs of concrete with those "slaps"

Concrete has very weak tensile strength. Its why rebar is used in construction. 10 year olds can break unenforced concrete.

It is also why karate phags put the unenforced concrete up on blocks with the center unsupported, this allows tensile stresses when struck. This is why karate phags dont strike concrete cylinders which would only be compression stresses, because they cant generate 5000psi to crush it.

If a 10 year old can do it, its not a feat of strength.

But offensively you can't just tee off on guys and reel off multi-punch combinations to the head. There is a real danger of hurting your hands like Paulie did yesterday.

I think precision is much more important and you have to be very careful about where you place your shots. It's also probably a good idea to concentrate heavily on the body too.
It's also not for pillow punchers like Pauline. I have no doubt Maidana would excel in this sport. Vanes should hit them up since he needs the cash.

It was a bad idea for Paulie from the start but obviously, we all know why he took the fight because he needed the money. Bareknuckle brawling is not Malignaggi's forte as he has had multiple broken hand problems for most of his career.

Then fighting with no padding or support for those brittle hands of his wasn't perhaps a very wise thing for him to do. However, he wasn't beaten up or dominated. He just didn't throw enough power punches to sway the judges that's all.

Hard punchers might be even more at risk of breaking their hand.

Look what happened to Mike Tyson when he hit Mitch Green bareknuckle in their street fight.

All Paulie did last night was to circle his opponent and throw safe jabs leading to nothing, setting up nothing. He ******.
