Separate deals? Of course they were separate deals, but doesn't mean they weren't linked together. Just go listen to Hearn talk about it. They asked him how he was able to put this deal together with TR and he mentioned how Matchroom had two of their fighters fight on ESPN's platform, and now it was their turn to get a fight on DAZN.

Again, I fully expect a deal to be made before the purse bid since I expect Lomachenko to possibly vacate his belt and then Campbell will lose out on a big payday. But Hearn is using that purse bid as leverage to get Campbell even a better deal or get some terms in his favor. If things go south and he does for a purse bid? Oh boy....

There’s no way Loma fights on DAZN

Lomas one of TR Stallions and draws eyeballs. Hes

Ramirez is going here because he’s a low priority for Top Rank outside of his hometown he has no fans and the upside of probably having Matchroom overpay for Ramirez services and the potential having 2 straps is worth the risk. Ramirez wins great maybe it builds his profile and he’d bring 2 straps over to Espn. Ramirez loses he’ll get replaced by one of Top Rank Young Guns like Teofimo / Conlan who have potential to be a draw in the sport

Loma does better numbers on ESPN than most PBC fights on FOX. He might not be a big ticket seller but people do certainly tune in to watch him.

          And Ramirez-Hooker does?

GTFOH. If Hearn got Loma over to DAZN that would be massive.

You’re just making excuses in case Hearn loses yet another purse bid.

I mean personally I think a deal is reached before Friday, but this really damage the working relationship between the two. Expect some classic Arum rants if this ends up going to purse bid and if Hearn/DAZN win it.
I’d be surprised if he wins the purse bid. ESPN/Arum are gonna bid super aggressively to keep one of their biggest stars on their network.

If DAZN/Hearn somehow win the purse bid, it’s a very smart move and Arum will undoubtedly be raging.

How is he pulling an okie doke when Hearn fighter is the one holding up the fight for more money? This was Eddie biting off more than he can chew. That's it

Right. This fight was going to be IK PPV and ESPN plus.

At the very least the purse bid likely drives up Campbell's purse here.

But that's the thing. It was all but agreed this fight was going to be on ESPN, right? So now Hearn is using the purse bid as leverage to drive up Campbell's purse. And he can threaten to take it to purse bid and possibly beat Arum where either Lomachenko vacates or he has to fight on DAZN. It just seems weird how everything seemed agreed upon and an announcement was happening soon yet three weeks later, here we are.
