Did Eddie Hearn Just Pull a Okie Dokie on Bob Arum?

So a deal STILL hasn't been reached yet for Lomachenko/Campbell and it could very well head to a purse bid. Hearn basically used this fight as leverage to put Ramirez/Hooker on DAZN. One of those basically I give you this fight on ESPN, and you give me this fight on DAZN. But what if Hearn drags this to purse bid and he wins it? Then what? I mean personally I think a deal is reached before Friday, but this really damage the working relationship between the two. Expect some classic Arum rants if this ends up going to purse bid and if Hearn/DAZN win it.

I never believed that was the reason Ramirez went to DAZN. The reason he went was because of the money, he has no one else to fight and because like Bob said he'll come back to ESPN with 2 belts.

The fight isn't worth an overpriced bid to get. Lomachenko isn't a draw, does nothing for DAZN.

Oh, the money is great no doubt and he can bring back two belts. But Arum wouldn't have just sent Ramirez to DAZN just for that. He would have tried his damn-est to put this fight on ESPN. Even Hearn alluded to this kind of being a deal where they gave ESPN two fights and now they get this one in return.

Still does some of the best numbers in the US. Granted, he's had some top notch lead ins on those shows, but he is a good name. Biggest US based star that would have fought on DAZN under Hearn's shows.

He won't attract subs and it will only be one fight, just not worth losing millions over.

I think Arum wants Loma and Ramirez off ESPN for now. Both should win their fights easy.

He needed to use space for the Fury fight. So putting Ramirez and Loma in easy wins on DAZN allows him to use resources for the Fury fight and still get exposure. I am sure TR will find a way to share the broadcast.

With how much Eddie been f#cking up in his US promotional run the last thing he should wanna do is cross Bob over a Loma vs Campbell fight. Eddie needs allies not enemies & this fight isn't the one to burn bridges over. Loma ain't lighting the world on fire on ESPN. What good is this fight doing for Eddie or DAZN? Hell even if he's able to work with Loma & entice him over to DAZN Loma is no game changer for Eddie or DAZN. If Eddie wants to burn a bridge for a guy it better be Wilder or Tank or someone with some real leverage with fans.

Think its likely Arum's holding out for the best deal for Loma, and a deal will be done just before deadline. The Sky PPV/ESPN works well for the Top Rank side. Even though I cant ever remember Hearn winning a purse bid, if it goes to one I can see him going a bit mental. Hearn's September card could be great if he does win it though, think Haney and Usyk are already on it.
