Shadow if I see Golovkin outboxing Canelo in the fights and Compubox corroborates what I saw of course I'm going to quote the stats. You had Golovkin winning the first fight 7 rounds to 5. I had it 8 to 4. That is only a difference of 1 round. Did you look at Compubox to determine who won. I'm thinking no. You made your decision when you watched the fight as I did. Just because someone quotes Compubox doesn't mean that's their only source of data. Do you agree or not?Last edited by TonyGe; 06-19-2019, 08:47 PM.Comment

someone who uses compubox to verify/justify the result of a boxing match..... is a fool.....
1) compubox does not record the official scoring criteria
2) compubox does not use the official scoring criteria when recording landed punches
3) compubox is inaccurate..... wildly so, on occasion
compubox has no feel for the game whatsoever..... like you casuals
the very signature of a casual fan is dislike/disregard, and a general lack of appreciation, for defenceComment

That's your opinion not mine. There is nothing wrong with anyone quoting compubox if it's appropriate. For example to me it was obvious that Golovkin landed way more head shots in the second fight than Canelo. If someone wants to argue about the punch quality and placement fine that's fair. Trying to explain that to some people in the forum is damned near impossible. Using Compubox is a good way to try and get through to them. By the way the four so called official scoring criteria are highly subjective and unreliable. The judges often times can't agree on who won close rounds. I will try again. Boxing is based on punching. Boxing is a COMBAT sport. Landing more clean effective punches than your opponent is the main priority.someone who uses compubox to verify/justify the result of a boxing match..... is a fool.....

This guy thinks 5 blocked or dodged punches cancels out 10 jabs or 5 landed power shots or a knockdown LOL... How about feel out jabs that intentionally don't land? Credit the defense? Silly humans, landed punches trump any scoring criteria!someone who uses compubox to verify/justify the result of a boxing match..... is a fool.....

NOPE..... someone who uses compubox to verify/justify the result of a boxing match..... is an ABSOLUTE fool..... no question
especially if that very same fool insisted that "all landed punches are scoring shots"..... which is exactly what you said.....
and you also insisted that defence, ring generalship, and effective aggression..... are not even a factor in the scoring unless the landed punches are even.....
TWO additional pieces of casual-fan ******ity to go with your collection LMAO
FACT: compubox does not account for how a fight unfolds
FACT: compubox does not use the official scoring criteria
FACT: compubox is inaccurateComment
