Great post man, I have a slightly different take I think it's canelos timing that puts people off walking him down. It's the punches you don't see coming that hurt you. Ggg is 37 his reflexes have slowed to the point of not seeing the signals when a punch is coming so he can't roll with it just takes it flush. Whereas prime canelo is brilliant at spotting the punch in a split second and rolls accordingly.

Canelos counters probably are powerful but his timing is even more potent combine that with a good punch variety and that's why I feel opponents get hesitant. They may also be wary of body shots or leaving an openin because canelo will capitalise on that 9 times out of 10. Being the naturally smaller and quicker fighter at his current weight.

Ggg's biggest opponent in the third fight is father time and the diminished ability to see punches coming and get off first (pulling the trigger) both of which are sure signs of slippage.

G kept too much distance over the 24 rounds to be able to launch an effective body attack, no doubt wary of Canelo's counters when up close. If G closed the gap and went to the body he's going to have to take a lot of return fire that he he was shy of in the first two fights - and he's likely to have to take a couple of solid hits to land each one of his own. If Canelo held his ground it could be a short and brutal fight, and G's chin would have to live up to its reputation. I think in a shoot-out youth would win out, G having lost some of his timing with age - can imagine him taking too many shots.

Canelo's chin would also have to hold up though.
Good points and I agree but having seen Canelo hurt before and never having seen GGG hurt, I'd have to lean towards him. That said, youth is a huge factor and usually fighters are no longer near the top at 37.

i said the same thing after both fights; he has to go the body to stop canelo and get the rightful decision this time around.
The Murray fight was the last time I saw G sustain a relentless body attack on somebody after that fight he seemed to go downstairs less and less. Abel being his trainer should have corrected that.

Outta 2 fights I saw G hit Nelo with 1 nasty hard right hook to the body I think it was round 10 of the rematch & Canelo immediately dropped his hands, u could easily tell it bothered him. Idk why G didn't just keep ramming away after that. He buzzed him with a headshot shortly after that and went back to head hunting.

I saw him mixing it up way more in the Rolls fight. So it'll be interesting to see if he'll keep it up in the future. Would make the 3rd fight a lot more interesting to say the least

          2) in the rematch, the " experts " saw Canelo winning..... MOST trainers and fighters say that Canelo won the rematch..... again, "fans" do not count

one of Golovkin's loudest " fans " recently crawled up into the fetal position and started sucking his thumb, after I showed him a video detailing how to score a professional boxing match

          isn't that right, Tony ?

knowing how to score a professional boxing match is a prerequisite for having an opinion..... when casual fans realize that fact, then they can talk..... until that point, who cares what they think
Show us a video of actual landed punches for each round in the 2nd fight and you might crawl up in a fetal next to this "Tony" guy sucking his thumb.

..... and then proving that they do not know how to score a professional boxing match

I will create an educational thread

Yup! They completely IGNORE Defense which is an actual big part of scoring. They ignore combos and body work as well which is Part of the Clean Hard Punches part of scoring. Ring Generalship?? Canelo made GGG change not the other way around. If you look at the 4 ways to score a fight Canelo won all 4.

Man you know these dopes still won’t learn. They only look at compubox to tell them who won.
