Great post man, I have a slightly different take I think it's canelos timing that puts people off walking him down. It's the punches you don't see coming that hurt you. Ggg is 37 his reflexes have slowed to the point of not seeing the signals when a punch is coming so he can't roll with it just takes it flush. Whereas prime canelo is brilliant at spotting the punch in a split second and rolls accordingly.
Canelos counters probably are powerful but his timing is even more potent combine that with a good punch variety and that's why I feel opponents get hesitant. They may also be wary of body shots or leaving an openin because canelo will capitalise on that 9 times out of 10. Being the naturally smaller and quicker fighter at his current weight.
Ggg's biggest opponent in the third fight is father time and the diminished ability to see punches coming and get off first (pulling the trigger) both of which are sure signs of slippage.
