I think Charlo and Andrade are "worth a damn!" He got 2 paydays from Canelo, yet still feels entitled enough to decline both Charlo and Andrade, and expect to have his rematch before either one! I think that's doing a little more than what "everyone else is doing!" Like I said, he needs a "Plan B!"

I like Mall. I think he's got some skills. I think he could test Canelo &/or GGG in certain ways & maybe pull an upset, but he don't even got a belt & there is no upside to fighting a top ten guy for GGG when he's #2.
But Andrade is a paper champion who won his belt off of some late sub from Namibia ffs. His belt means f#ck all lets quit bsing like thats not a fact. And no one knows him or gives a f#ck about him.
When you are outside of the top ten you wanna fight a top ten guy.
When you are in the top ten you wanna fight a top 3 guy.
When you are the #2 guy you wanna fight the #1 guy.
GGG is the #2 guy in the division. Canelo is #1. OF COURSE Canelo is the only fight that matters to him & as it should be.
And sh^t EVERYONE needs & has a plan B. Thats why we saw GGG vs Rolls. Maybe we do see GGG vs Andrade if Canelo fights Callum or some other random 160 guy next. But the bullseye is on Canelo for GGG cuz he's #2 & Canelo is #1. It don't matter if they fought 7 times. Plus this fight has value to DAZN who's trying to entice casuals to sub to their platform & having two of the small handful of fighters casuals know fight is +EV for DAZN too so its happening regardless if Canelo wants it, if GBP wants it or if GGG wins a title or not before it happens. And GGG & Tommy knows this & thats why he's gonna take low risk fights cuz there is no upside in taking risks.Comment

It easy to say GGG is #2, so long as he doesn't have to face Charlo or Andrade! I guess we'll never know if he's really #2, since he has no intention of fighting either one!
DAZN shouldn't allow GGG to skip over Andrade since a) Andrade is the WBO Champion, b) Andrade has been with DAZN longer, and c) GGG declined to fight Andrade, and chose Rolls instead!
The WBC should not allow Canelo vs. GGG 3 since a) Charlo is the Interim Champion since 4eva, b) GGG declined to fight Charlo, c) GGG chose to fight Rolls instead!Comment

If GGG was younger I'd agree with this more, but this is a big fight that could get lost if GGG shows up old one night & he loses to some Rolls-type mfer.

Also why wouldn't DAZN want GGG vs Canelo III? Thats a mainstream fight that'll help them get subs. They are in the sub business not in the getting GGG to earn his third fight with Canelo business.
I think its a lock GGG vs Canelo happens within 12 months. It happens in September or May. If it doesn't then DAZN musta legit went outta business like MCC keeps seeming to predict.

I'd certainly like to see Mall get his shot & definitely prefer seeing Mall vs Canelo instead of Andrade vs Canelo, but I don't the WBC Guy is anywhere close to pushing that fight on Canelo.Comment

Right. I agree. This is the Haymon model which he was criticized heavily for. Having Spence, Davis, Charlo's fight in NY as opposed to their hometowns. Fighters like Bud & Easter Jr can fight in sell out in their hometowns because they aren't major cities and no professional sports teams. The others had to fight in major media markets to garner attention first.Comment
