Well yes, in this hypothetical scenario, I think Showtime loses out. As for Top Rank, if Endeavor is selling all of UFC's TV plus half of PBC's TV, but demands that ESPN not show any other boxing or MMA, is ESPN really going to choose Top Rank over UFC and PBC? There's no point in Endeavor buying PBC unless they're going to be very aggressive in leveraging UFC to give PBC every advantage possible over other boxing en******.
For PBC to have any chance of becoming to boxing what UFC is to MMA, they'd have to find a way to slit Top Rank's throat. Taking their TV deal would be a good way to do it and 7 years from now, it's unlikely that Bob Arum will still be alive and if he is alive, it's unlikely he'll have the mental faculties to run the company.
I know he's groomed his stepson or whatever, but you have to think without Bob that Top Rank won't be the same and their roster is already pretty thin compared to PBC.
