Would Ortiz Or Big Baby Have Been Able To Upset Joshua?

Big Baby had the fight til he f#cked up & took every banned substance on the banned substances list. Ortiz seemed like the favorite to land the fight before Ruiz til all the money bs went down.

Did these two f#ck up the chance to be unfied champion if they'd made it to the ring with the same guy Ruiz fought?

Or does a whole other Joshua show up vs Big Baby or Ortiz cuz he'd have taken them more seriously?

I think any two of those guys , if they are capable of taking AJ’s power then yes , both would have a very good chance of being victorious
I really believe the exposure factor is that chin
Seems like every time he gets a good shot his legs go on him

I believe anyone who can withstand his power has a very good chance of beating him

Always said Ortiz was wrong for AJ.

Big, robotic fighter that doesn't move his head that moves in straight lines just isn't going to fare well vs such a big, powerful southpaw counterpuncher with good, educated footwork.
AJs distance control and positioning aren't great, Ortiz's are.

AJ is not only predictable but has such a terrible defense when he's done throwing.

Ruiz didn't just beat him he showed huge holes in AJs game. Fellow top HWs must be licking their lips to fight him.

Not sure about Miller I'd need to see him off peds. I highly doubt he can maintain that intensity and volume without the gear.

Well im a believer in there was something wrong with Anthony Joshua on the night of the Ruiz fight so i feel had he been in with Miller or Ortiz they would of stood a good chance of doing the exact same thing Ruiz did. Although i imagine Ruiz closes the gap a little quicker than the other 2 would.

I think some people are overlooking big time that they picked someone who pretty much in his head already owned one of those belts. He came HUNGRY as well as looking to right a wrong. These other guys worried more about the money to get in the ring. Ruiz only brought up money afterwards. I think while both possibly could have upset neither would have had as much chance as Ruiz as mentally they were not up for it as much as he was.

edit : AJ has also been weak to hook since the Am's which is also why Dillian Whyte had success and pushed so much for a rematch and it's also what Ruiz beat him down with. Neither of those 2 would have brought the hook game and body shots imo.

Ortiz would be an interesting fight. He would have the better odds of winning. Big baby, I don't think punches as hard as well

Ortiz had more of a shot at it just on speed & technique. Miller hadn't fought any top tier contenders or champs, so I'm not sure he has the speed or chin to pull it off.

Yes, I believe so. On that night; At least to me, AJ just wasn't it feeling it. He wanted out; From the time he left his dressing room, to the ring walk and all the way to the time he spat out his mouth piece on the canvas, turned his back on the referee and rested his gloves on the top rope with no gum shield in his mouth as the referee shouted instructions at him. Which was clear indication to me that he wanted it out.

Randomly a podcast I listen to about Michigan Boxing has a guy on it who manages the guy who fought Diego Pacheco that same night & he was talking about the fight. He said they were the swing bout & that as you expect they had to warm up numerous times & all that. And when there was just them & Joshua vs Ruiz left & they thought for sure they were going next they got word that Joshua wanted to fight next so they got pushed back to the last fight of the night. Idk if that goes with the Joshua didn't wanna be there that night narrative or against it for sure, but its a semi-interesting lil piece of info.
