I think a different AJ would have most likely shown up against those guys, especially Miller who he legitimately had a dislike for. Who knows with Ortiz, but I think AJ definitely would have beaten Big Baby still

He was too relaxed and friendly with Ruiz... even letting him take pictures with his belts.

I think a whole other AJ shows up against either guy. Ortiz doesn’t do the things that Ruiz succeeded with. Plus if the Wilder fight is anything to go by he doesn’t have the gas tank to fire off the combinations like Ruiz.

Both would have probably beat that AJ. Am sure they both regret their actions now.

I don't really rate big baby he doesn't have the power and he takes too many punches I think he would've gone 12 but lost to AJ best case

Ruiz doesn't have the stamina either but still stopped AJ both Ortiz and Ruiz throw combination which is something AJ doesn’t know how to deal with

Ruiz has faster hands Ortiz has more power

                Ortiz yes, Miller no.

Ortiz would have hit Josh with some crisp counters and it would have been over.

I think in hindsight it's easier to say yes, but we don't really know for sure if they would've stepped in to AJ the way Ruiz did.

It's also hard to gauge Miller now, I don't know what he can do clean, he might gas before AJ for all I know.

Ortiz always seemed like an interesting match up for AJ in my eyes. If he would've been a big underdog against AJ I would've seen that as a betting opportunity.

Ortiz maybe but I doubt it.
Miller off PEDs probably has worse stamina than Joshua, I'd give him almost no chance.

I still think if they had picked Hunter he would have done much the same as Ruiz did.

I definitely think Ortiz had a great shot. He struggles with guys with quick footwork. He destroys guys who stand in front of him or have bad defense. Ortiz would take that jab away from AJ early and counter with that counter left. AJ is wide open for it with his square defense and no head movement.
