Cro cop gassed because he has wayyy too much muscle mass for his frame, Fedor beat him on his feet because his weight is useful (for a grappler)/fat ie his endurance is less affected than teh lean cro cop fighter
Ruiz can still be chubby, but him weighing in at 268 pounds isn't helping him. The fight only lasted 7 rounds. He himself said he's better at 245lbs.

yes it is , he said he did it because he needed the extra power vs joshua, it was intentional, and it worked, vs other guys hes better of lighter esp if they are smaller and faster (less fat not more muscle )

He did it because he was already heavy to start camp and took the fight on short notice. Now you have him talking about losing weight for the rematch.

There are diminishing returns when you start getting too heavy. You don't hear Ruiz planning to weigh 280lbs.

I would never advise anyone to fatten up for a fight BUT there is is a certain amount of Sumo type wrestling for position going on in the HW division. More importantly for Ruiz is that he's using his own body's inertia as a fulcrum for his punches.

Andy does not have great stamina but it was clearly better than Joshua's

I think you are full of it and don't know what you are talking about. If Ruiz lost all that blubber he would hit just as hard and have much more speed and stamina. Extra fat is never an asset. Ruiz only averaged about 25 punches a round. Prime lean very muscular Holyfield used to average 90 punches a round.

Ruiz cant fight at his "optimal weight or shape" in the heavyweight division because hes too small, so he needs extra power extra weight and its better off that some of that comes from fat, rather than muscle because fat doesn't ruin cardio as much.

Joshua if he wants to capitolise even further on his power which I think is unnecessary and not a high % game for him, he should add extra fat instead of extra "bodybuilding" hypertrophy. But he would be better off not doing any sacoplasmic hypertrophy training and having less muscle, the same low body fat % and more endurance, more speed, and still loads of power (just because hes a good puncher regardless of weight)

Also all muscle for both fighters should not be sacoplasmic showy bulky hypertrophy it should be the less attractive uglier less bulky more sport specific muscle distribution of a true athlete (non western ie more advanced), true athletes do not look like cover models unless they are unusually V shaped naturally (Fedor, Anderson Silver, those are true athletes because its 100% about performance 0% looks, and their bodies are weird unaesthetic and they should be because they have a specific function)

Should Joshua not atleast get a new strength and conditioning coach?

If Wilder gained 40lbs of fat, he'd be unstoppable.

lost track of the trolls but incase you are not one...

...hes got plenty of power already, excess, even being very light, hes probably better off staying as he is and keeping his endurance speed lighter foot work and so on, hes smart not putting on the extra muscle mass like so many American boxers have
