Newsbeat hears why the man who knocked out AJ is fitter than he looks.

This link should put this argument to rest. Several of you have a lot to learn about weight & body fat in Boxing.

      It's not genetics, it's **** Mexican diet.

You eat the exact same food Andy is you will look like him soon enough.

Look at the builds of Natives before and after their introduction to processed foods.

long explanation for a simple answer...AJ just needs to train for endurance, more road work, biking, swimming. the human body is an amazing machine and will adopt in no time.

So Ruiz is in better physical condition than Joshua.

He has better endurance work rate cardio, and is a more advanced athlete in terms of physical conditioning.

Well developed muscles provide more disadvantage than advantage in boxing , even less advantage than being fat, optimal is like Joe Calzagge , Fury in shape, Ali, Vitali, and so on, ie a far more natural amount of muscle for your frame.

Developed muscles are a massive cost to endurance with little added to power. The endurance side of things is so much more important than most other factors including power, its so unbelievably effective to have a high work rate and loads of endurance, its mad that they still come in with developed muscles even as big men.

Big developed muscles dont work, they are a disadvantage, why do we still see them?

AJ had every physical advantage over Ruiz.

What he lacks are SKILLS. He makes basic mistakes like not moving off of the line. His head is literally right there in front of Ruiz every time LOL. He's WIDE OPEN for counterpunches. It wouldn't matter if AJ had the physique of Muhammad Ali or the physique of Lennox Lewis. He still has the brain of AJ. Boxing is 95% mental, and AJ doesn't have the skills to beat Ruiz.

Both AJ and Ruiz are a product of their trainers and frankly im not sure AJ's trainers are as good as Ruiz's, he has the money to get the best trainers in teh world but will he do the essential but emotionally difficult thing of ditching his r-tarded english team for a top notch American team?

It takes less fuel and oxygen to fuel less muscle mass. It's as simple as that.

Snickers was the difference here. Ruiz got some nuts for this fight, and AJ didnt look like he had any in comparison.
Snickers is Ruizs' tryptonite and the only way AJ stands a chance in the rematch is to eat some himself to level the field
