I never thought Ruiz would be the one to do it at all honestly, and not many people did. I did however, say that Joshua’s chin is so bad that Wilder will miss out on the chance of taking his 0 and some lesser opponent/journeyman will take the win. I did not know it would be Ruiz. I figured it would be some big, heavy hitting HW journeyman, that is similar in size and height as Joshua. Ruiz winning was unexpected, it’s a shocking result based on his physical appearance and Joshua’s physical appearance.

I knew Ruiz was a live dog but watching Joshua vs Whyte and Povetkin, both fighters I ranked higher and more dangerous than Ruiz, I was hoping for a dominant performance.

The first KD and the build
Up was how I expected the fight to
Go, but knew that the Joshua that struggled with Parker could struggle
With the faster handed Ruiz.

Didn’t believe Ruiz had the power to hurt Joshua, especially when Joshua took solid shots from Povetkin and Whyte.
