I guaran****intee he doesn't get to pick the venue because the contract was already signed for the rematch clause.

A side B side, who cares

It's simple. GayJ signed the original contract under the stipulation that if he loses, he gets a rematch, that's it. It didn't say in the UK, US, Mexico, or Mars. Ruiz is the champ, he dictates his terms, GayJ can ask for his. Ruiz has just as much clout if not more having the belts.

He can always buy out the rematch clause. But if he cant, he might as well accept it.

Location: They fought in the US. I think it is fair they fight next in the UK. It will sell well in UK anyway.
As far as location, Ruiz didnt choose that and they didn't do it on the stregnth of Ruiz but because they wanted that dazn check.

Ruiz is now the unified heavyweight champion of the world, the A side. He can call some shots.

Why run away to your country and fight the man?You should rematch here and reclaim your belts where you lost them like a man. If Joshua is looking for legacy and respect he must return to America and get the Victory.
I actually agree with you. He should fight him in the exact same place he lost it.

I think he gets 50/50 if in the U.K... AJ will have to pay through the nose if Ruiz travels. Personally he will be giving the belts away if he travels to the U.K. although he may be so confident and rightly so that he can beat AJ anywhere.

AJ should fight him in the states. Go and face all those Americans that were laughing when you hit the canvas 4 times.

If anyone thinks Hearn won't have in the contract that the location of the rematch is decided by AJ then they are mad. Ruiz's purse is fixed probably less than $10m as that was what Ortiz was offered and we know Ruiz got less for the first fight.

How is he going to make big money against Wilder when Wilder doesn't even make big money?? Andy's best chance at WINNING a big fight will be against AJ. Joshua can regroup in the U.K. and still earn more than any other HW out there right now, that's a fact. Andy is going to mess around and lose his title in his first defense and become Douglas 2.0 if he isn't careful. With AJ, he can flip this into a trilogy if Joshua wins the rematch. More money than he can ever hope for is at stake.

Great. So if that’s the case, Ruiz can tell them to kiss his ass and then what? Take him to court? Then it’s gonna look like they’re trying to get Ruiz over there so they can rob him. Then AJ will look like an even bigger joke to pretty much everyone that doesn’t talk with one of those goofy ass accents they have over there.
