I was definitely wondering why Eddie Hearn was making so many assumptions post fight. He’s talking about what’s fair for Aj like haymon cares about Aj’s fairness.

I do think Andy is gonna make serious money and Aj will have to pay for the privilege to fight for Andy’s belts. I wouldn’t just take double my former fee, i would push for half or 60-40 at the least.

I had no idea Ruiz was a PBC puppet. Due respect to him he is an under-rated fighter, but I doubt he will remain in the position he is on talent alone despite the backing of the nefarious, enigmatic Haymon.

A.J can beat him - and the sanctioning bodies all want someone who fills their coffers. Despite his Mexican heritage, he can't compete commercially with A.J.

If he wants to be the real deal, get down to fighting weight.

Not sure about that, Robbie. The champ can put a rematch in the contract and exercise it at will, as Joshua is doing, but I don't think the loser of the first fight can demand the location.

I think Haymon wouldn't have agreed to that, if he had read that contract, unless the pay is humongous.

It seems no venue or splits were decided in the original contract. There's another thread now where Ruiz is saying he wants 50 mill if the fight is in the UK. How can he do that if everything is already decided beforehand?

What happens if Andy cannot defend the titles against AJ as stipulated in the contract. Say him or AJ gets hurt last minute or one of them takes drug and gets suspended. Does that rematch contract gets null and void? I don't see that these little stuff are included in the terms with a last minute match up, like in this instance.

... In case of injury, the fight will be re-scheduled... In case of failing drug tests, we already have Fury's case -- stripped and suspended...

Try to think of it this way. Andy is the champ now but when he signed the original contract and mandatory rematch clause he was not he was B side. So terms of the rematch Joshua is still A side. $ is negotiable but probably to a max ceiling
