If that is the case than in my opinion he cannot be considered the p4p #1 fighter in the world when guys like Winky & Paquiao consistantly fight the toughest opponents in there weight classes and in Winky's case even moving up in weight. He can't be considered the grestest thing since sliced bread when he continuosly fights lesser opponents. If that is what he is going to do, than fine and yes it sucks for the fans, but he can't be considered p4p. I remember a time a few years ago when the DLH, Mosley,Wright,Tito,Vargas were all fighting each other and not making ***** ass excuses. They did it to define there legacies, and they did it for the fans. I am not a Mosley fan and I hate Tito, but I have to respect them, because they never backed down from a challenge. All these men wanted to fight the best and proved it time and time again. They all had there losses, but at least they were man enough to step up and take the challenges and that is why they are all so highly rgarded to the boxing world. Love them or hate them, you have to respect them and what they have done for boxing. I don't know what happened to those days, because boxing is really suffering because of it. Floyd should really take a good look at these types of guys and take a chapter out there books, if he wants to ever be considered one of the best and stop taking on mediocre opposition. This not coming from a hater this is coming from a boxing fan that is interested in what is good for the sport and for the fans. Actions speak louder than words and Floyd nees to shut up and start putting all this talk into action.

You have every right to displace him from your #1 p4p list, and your other selections are both good. I don't know about the DLH/Mosley comparisons as they both have taken the safer roads on several occasions (not with each other). Just to let you know DLH fought Castillejo; Sturm; Gatti etc. and Mosely fought Estrada and Cruz (I think that was his name). I didn't hear people screaming bloody murder like this. Look I only want to see the best fights so I understand the frustration. I am simply trying to rationalize why this is happening and point out that it happened before, its happening now, and it will happen again. If you want things to change, you'll have to find a way to make boxing a main stream sport again.

Margarito aint Tito, vargas, Mosley or Delahoya or Wright, his skills are nowhere near theirs, Margo is a limited fighter, cant u see that, how dare u even mention his name with those people, U must be relative of his or something

I hardly think your a fan of boxing and the sport if u want to see Floyd spar with Margarito who is mediocre opposition. the guy cant move side to side, comes straight forward, has no speed, and throws slow but powerful punches. he has no head movement, he isnt elusive or sneaks his punches. Only thing he got is size and power, do u really think the P4P best can't overcome size and power. And it aint like he got Mike Tyson power. U say u dont want to see him fight mediocre opposition but all of Margarito's skills are mediocre, dude u confused and just dont like Floyd, so just say that and then your posts will be more amusing

Good post. Can the haters please stop saying that he is ducking Margarito. He is simply making a smart career decision by fighting a bigger-name fighter. If Margarito is able to make a name for himself, the fight will come off down the road. If/when it does happen I like your analysis. Guys like Margarito and Gatti can't beat Floyd Mayweather.

I respect your opinion and your right about some of your points, but DLH fought Quartey in his prime,Tito, Mosley twice and a bigger Vargas, not to mention B-Hop. Mosley fought Oscar twice,Winky twice, and Forrest twice, which is more than you can say for Floyd. Mosley did start fighting lesser opposition after his final fight with Winky and he was trying to reinvent hids career.

Ok maybe if you stopped and read what I typed before you started running your mouth, you would see tht I never compared Margarito to any of those guys what I said is that Floyd needs to start taking after them and stepping up the way they did. I notice that you only replied to half of what I typed and if you go back and read I didn't even mention Margarito in my post. I simply referred to the fact that Floyd needs to step up the way they did, and love or hate them, you have to atleast respect them for that. Just because you are so defensive about the subject doesn't mean that I don't know anything about boxing. If you feel that you need to defend Floyd that hard, maybe that is your problem because once again I never mentioned Margarito in my post. So like I said before you start running your mouth, maybe you should stop and think about what you are replying to. Once again he only posted part of my post. I never mentioned Marg or compared to these other guys. I just said that Floyd needs to step up the way they did, and if and when he does I will give him his props. Kind of conveniant he only posted part of what I typed.
