His corner let him down before the 7th. He certainly hadn’t quit yet. Even though he just had his butt kicked in the 6th he was asking his corner for help but what he got was less than helpful. “Be busier” is hardly the advice to give a guy who is gasping for breath like a fish on the deck of a boat. Then telling him to throw the 1-2 and some advice on fighting in close quarters as if fighting Ruiz on the inside at all were not the main source of his grief.

No, Joshua never quit he just a man with no working plan who got beaten senseless .

        Polls said he’d win too.

respectable analysis, I can agree to an extent... but due to the way these guys are acting around here I'm going to keep saying he quit. he definitely didn't want to fight anymore.

He didn't officially quit, but mentally he already quit.

Everytime he landed on ruiz, ruiz came back 3 times harder, and he couldn't handle it.

In his mind he was like "damn I can't take this, this is too much for me."

I don't see how the rematch is going to be much different. Joshua knows what coming again, he knows he couldn't take it the first time. Ruiz has no doubt and fear this time around, he knows he can beat him. It's going to be even rougher for Joshua the second time around.

                  NO!

He told the referee he was OK and he wanted to continue.

The referee was clearly paid off to help Ruiz win!
