The thread is ridiculous. People only called him what he truly is. a Mexican American......even Ts proved this without even realizing it.
This is why Andy Ruiz Jr is Mexico's first heavyweight champion

He was on the Steve bunce podcast and they asked him "do you fight for Mexico, America or both?"At first when the Joshua fight was announced, I thought he was using Mexico (His heritage) to sell himself, then I saw a documentary on him, where he went to school in Mexicali, box in the national Mexican Team, got bullied for his weight etc. Obviously he was born in America like Margarito and Cotto but no one questioned those two in the same way with Ruiz. Then I saw his interview with one of the LDBC guys when he signed for PBC and he was talking about becoming the first Mexican HW. I just concluded that this guy wasn’t using Mexico at all, he was Mexican at heart.
He said "I fight for Mexico and my family"
End of discussion he flat out said he doesn't fight for americaComment

Mexico is a much more poorer nation then America. Mexico needs inspirational people to look up to. Why would he fight for America? He's the first Mexican American heavyweight in history......that means a lot. he looks up to the Mexican fighters of old and wants to be like canelo. That doesn't take away the fact that he has an american accent loves snickers and was born and mostly raised in California. The guy is actually both Mexican and American. Theres no way anyone would confuse him for a Chavez sr.......he's a Mexican American. Why is that so hard to believe 🤣Comment

You act like the Mexicans built modern day California, like all the Tech companies and Hollywood was created by Mexicans. Mexicans weren't even a thing in California pre 1980's, California voted ********** until 1990.
And in your eyes you can view the Southwest however you want, fact of the matter is its NOT Mexican and will NEVER be Mexican. Thats why even now you probably speak better English than Spanish, and after your kids and grand kids assimilate into the general American population they'll forget what Mexico even is.
California, and Texas for that matter are what they are because they used to belong to Mexico.
What happens when America develops communities without Mexicans?
….
Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Idaho, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky and all the other boring ass **** that represents you and what your people create are places I would never ever ever ever ****ing settle in. Besides the southwest, only New York City, just the city saves the entire country from being a ridiculously boring place. I've travelled for work to some of these places and it seriously makes me angry when I have to waste a week of my life there.
Who else feels like this? The nearly 1 million Americans moving to Mexico to our beach towns and colonial towns. There are over a million now living peacefully among us in Mexico. They would rather live in what we created as they've opened their eyes and looked beyond what Hollywood and the news have told them.
Mexico has drug narcos fighting each other...but at least it's not our kids getting killed in school shootings every month, and at least it's not our family members dying in record numbers due to heroin/fentanyl overdose.
You live in a glass house mother***er, don't forget that.
One final thing, California and our Silicon Valley tech (where I was educated) our Southern California beaches in San Diego, our Cinematic empire in Los Angeles, and our mountains in the east up and down the state, and our culture is different than the rest of the shiiiit America represents. All of this belongs to us, Californians and I've seriously never met a single damn American patriot in this state.
If it was up to us, we would detach ourselves from the ***ing hillbilly garbage Murica represents. You never see anyone wearing any piece of American symbolism on their clothing...but you can't walk for more than 10 minutes without seeing people wearing the California bear on their clothing.
So ****k off hillbilly.

O
Texas and California are great because they once belonged to Mexico?
is that what you think? Not because people from all over the USA, primarily the East Coast migrated there and established Hollywood and Silicon Valley, no you think its because it once belonged to Mexico? If California and Texas still belonged to Mexico today they'd be sh4t holes.
Talk about being delusional. The reason you live in California and not the fly over states is because it was the closest state to Mexico where you could jump the border.
I got a newsflash for you, California culture is American culture, because you know California belongs to AMERICA. So take that Mexican flag and shove it up your ass. There is a reason you're speaking to me in English and not the other way around, and that is because you are living in MY country, and not that sh45t hole you jumped the border to get away from.Last edited by JimRaynor; 06-05-2019, 01:31 PM.Comment
