As if having a city with a Spanish name makes it more desirable to live in. You really are a grade A moron. You are bragging about AMERICAN cities with Spanish sounding names. Thats like someone from England bragging about New York. Why aren't you bragging about actual Mexican cities like Tijuana, Los Cabos, or Acapulco they also have Spanish sounding names. Maybe has something to do with the fact that their flavor consists of an actual turd. The only roots and foundation you laid out concerning American cities was what sort of tunnel or fence you were going to jump to get into them. Mexicans didn't build Hollywood or Silicon Valley, we did.

Let me also add, I'd choose New York, Philadephia, Nashville or any other German or English sounding named City over the ones you mentioned, like San Francisco, where the homeless and drug infested population would make a person sick.

As for me, sorry to disappoint you, but I live right outside of Philly, which also puts me an hour from NYC, Atlantic City, and the beach. You want to talk about culture, you pale in comparison to what I am around.

He's Mexican-American but I suspect he's repping the first Mexican heavyweight champion title hard because it's more marketable in the long run in both the States and in Mexico than being known as "first Mexican-American heavyweight champion". That Canelo effect. They're going all in with this. I believe the announcers, commentators and members of the media have been informed of this marketing strategy by his management too because it was all over the fight coverage before and after.

I also believe he's genuinely proud of his heritage too. Money or no money.

Besides I wouldn't pay any mind to any Mexican threatening the USA. lol! I mean really Jim? Mexicans are the least bit of our worries as a country. Besides I can tell you first hand there is a large majority of Mexicans that now live in the USA that appreciate the opportunities and only want the best for the kids.

What drives me insane and why I have been so vocal about Ruiz is posters that seem to have such a problem with Ruiz claiming to be Mexican are the same posters thatd love to end Birthright citizenship BUT now wanna get upset with Ruiz for claiming hes Mexican? Hows that make sense? Also its the same posters that say Mexicans cant assimilate or that our kids aren't as successful as other minority groups now want to accept Ruiz? You cant always have your cake and eat it too.

Lastly, we live in a free country, we allow men to say they are women. We let the same sex couples get married and call it a union but A man born on the California/Mexican border & has dual citizenship cant call himself a Mexican? Wow!

Yeah I figured that much about the guy being an alt or firestarter. Regardless, believe me when I tell you I have no qualms about Mexicans, or them coming over here legally or illegally. They are trying to make a better life for themselves, and if they can exploit a weak system or border than that is USA's fault, not theirs. My qualms are always over respecting the land that we all live in. That American flag is one of the only things that unites me with someone living 2000 miles on the other side of the country..

As for Ruiz, I also have no problem with him claiming to be Mexican, he can be both Mexican and American whatever he likes. He is obviously ethnically Mexican and was raised in Mexican culture, and if its Mexico he wants to represent more power to him. I congratulate the Mexicans on having their first heavyweight fighter. Now lets hope he trims down a bit from his 268 and becomes one of the most formidable guys in the division.
