Im sure it will, but i think the % will already be stated in the contract for the first fight.

Dillian Whyte turned down the AJ fight because he felt the rematch clause % was unfair if he won.

I’m sure they probably offered Ruiz a similar deal in terms of rematch but he was in a much lesser position so wouldn’t have turned it down.

I would be shocked if the first contract included some sort of limitations on the rematch purse, that would be considered "chump change". If he makes less than 10M in the rematch, that would be a dirty shame. It could end up being over 20M.
In any case, he won't be making more than Joshua and that's a fact.

I’ve watched the fight again and the alleged temple shot wasn’t really a big shot and Josh really didn’t take that many big shots in the fight, most of those shots were slapping shots.

Something just stinks but I can’t put my fingers on it as someone who has watched Josh since his amateur days.
Big Josh shouldn't have taken an immediate rematch. Past greats didn't.

Oh, no! Big Josh is trouble!

You might be right. Judging by that fight, it looks like Ruiz might just have his number.

I always said Rungvisai had Chocolatito’s number, even though the first fight was close, so it’s not the same situation as this AJ v Ruiz fight but there was just something i saw in that fight where i felt the outcome of a rematch was going to be bad for Gonzalez.

I just get the same feeling with this one. I see a very similar fight. I think AJ will actually be over cautious to his own detriment.

Last Saturday's version of Joshua might be knocked out even by David Price.

what makes you think he can win? he will have to make some major stamina improvements and lose the muscle so he can throw the jab. I see him losing again dude is too fast for him

I couldn't have agreed more. Joshua's team consisting of Matchroom, Eddie Hearn and Rob McCracken sent him into the ring with a brain injury where he could have been easily killed by Andy Ruiz, Jr. He needs to fire all of their asses. I still say that the rematch is too soon.

This will be a massive rematch, but AJ has to win it or he is basically done. You could say styles make fights and Ruiz is just a terrible matchup for AJ but he needs to face him again and beat him.

This upset was really good for most of the sport, people actually started talking boxing again, even on mainstream media. Thats why people watch fights, to see these huge upsets, thats what makes boxing exciting. People take risks. Also what wee saw from that fight people know why Wilder is staying away from Kownacki and Ruiz.
