Joshua vs. Ruiz does worse than Canelo vs. Fielding on DAZN

People who paid for the Canelo fight against Jacobs got the Joshua fight as part of the package and they still tuned out.

But it did they pick up new subscribers? And will they for the rematch?

It's just a growth game. All about having subscribers on board.

So imagine what GGG vs Rolls is gonna do. Probably worse than Joshua vs Ruiz.

If the rematch is in America it will do huge numbers. With that and potentially canelo-ggg 3 Dazn will
Have some strong end of year viewings.

Thats as expected. It was probably their 3rd biggest fight.

Sucks when a great fight does low numbers. Strange thing is, a lot of guys here were laughing at Wilder doing 1mil in the last fight, which I thought was decent. Wonder what they'll think of this.

I didn't expect it to do better than Canelo vs. Jacobs. But since it came as part of that package and there was a lot is advertising for it during that fight I expected it to do better than Canelo vs. Fielding.

I agree. There is to much buzz from this fight to send it back to the UK. But will Joshua accept another fight outside his comfort zone?

Since it was in the same 30 day period as the Canelo fight I'd doubt it picked up many new subs. Imagine a lot of the same people who watched Canelo vs Jacobs watched this...although slightly less apparently.

They are gonna have to piggyback Joshua onto the back of a Canelo fight again to maybe get people on the Joshua US War Wagon...& thats assuming he wins his next fight for Joshua to really start attracting US viewers I'd argue after this bad performance.

And still after this L Joshua might end up on Showtime or ESPN going into 2020.

Dogging that mill Wilder did is kinda nuts cuz it lasted 2 minutes or w/e & it was on during the NBA playoffs & a UFC event. Competition in the US TV world is a thing that needs to be accounted for more in numbers.

And thats also why those crazy 6M numbers Spence did during the Olympics shouldn't be taken as seriously too fwiw cuz a bunch of mfers probably thought they were watching Olympic f#cking boxing. I bet Spence lowkey has a rep with some casuals as "that guy from the 2016 Olympics" in fact.
