David Price was also looked at as this specimen until he met 42y/o Tony Thompson. He lost in very similar fashion...knocked Thompson down first but then got beat up and looked exhausted from round 2 onwards and got beat up. It's not like AJ lost by a lucky shot - he got beat up! I think Glenn is rightComment

With Wilder lets also not forget that a football player had him Completely clueless & dumbfounded as to what to do for most the fight(Gerald Washington),With Fury he was kd by pajkic then again by Cunningham (👏), Thats why I keep telling everyone Ruiz just might end up becoming the diamond in the rough right under everyone's noses that just surpassed the rest instantly. No other heavies have done what Ruiz did in koing 2 giants back to back even if one wasn't elite. How can ppl understate what Ruiz has done despite his appearance hes a very skilled, top amatuer pedigree heavyweight with a solid resume just off his loss & AJ alone.

He's part right.
Andy Ruiz is not an elite HW. Elite HWs don't lose to Joseph Parker. Nor will he be remembered as a great.
He'll have the same legacy as Buster Douglas. A one hit wonder, who did the impossible then disappeared.
Ruiz is a few cheesecakes away from type 2 diabetes. He won't last long.
AJ was completely out classed and out boxed by Andy.
Stiff robot AJ limited skillset got exposed. Recipe is there for any half decent boxer to beat him.Comment

"Robbed" is a massive stretch. The fight ****** big time and could've gone either way.
But Joseph Parker isn't very good. So for Ruiz to be in a back and forth fight with Parker doesn't say much about him.
As for your other point. Yes, Ruiz is an elite HW because the HW division isn't very good. By those standards, Joseph Parker and Dillian Whyte are also elite HWs.
We'll see what Ruiz does from here on out. I'm willing to bet he's a one hit wonder.
Just because there wasn't a ko doesn't mean it wasn't a good fight.
Those 2 went toe 2 toe for 12 rounds.
Your obviously new to boxingComment

We'll have to see how AJ performs in the rematch to really know where he's at. Everything else is just speculation.
But many Heavyweights that go down in history get beat by the much lesser fighter. Look at Joe Louis getting beat up and knocked out by a finished Max Schmelling. Wlad against Brewster. Lewis against McCall. Shlt like this can happen. This isn't a new thing.Comment

Oh my god, there are class comments on here at the moment.
Personally, I think Tony Joshua froze out, forgot what he IS capable of and got lost plain and simple.
Many are saying “yeah we always knew” or “he’s nothing this or that” but, with barely ten fights to his name, claim the titles and defend it against some decent and some not so good opposition before getting caught on an off night by a mid range heavyweight who, let’s not forget has only a single defeat to his name but in fairness, won it fair and square.
Just like, Douglas,McCall,Rahman, spinks etc etc who went on to lose pretty quickly in either a rematch or else.
Anthony Joshua is young, smart, respectable, he acts like a professional and took it like a man, he will win a rematch in quick concussive fashion without a doubt.
Finished? Wtf? Unbelievable claims from a fellah who was cleaned out before Lewis facked him up and to say Joshua is finished following one loss on a record of less than 30 fights and years of age is discombobulating to say the least.
McCRory is a thick kunt.Comment
