    - -Already corrected I sure by now, but john was the first Latino heavy champ. His roots are Puerto Rican whose citizens vote in US elections.

Andy debuted in México, he was made as a boxer with mexican coaches, his actual coach is mexican
I agree, he is 100% Mexicans, the burritos left on his toilet can attest to that.

First Latino and First Mexican both with Ruiz as last name! This has got to be more than just coincidence

Anyway, you guys finally have a Heavyweight! And it's not a counterfeit Mexican, like Sal Sanchez and Canelo Alvarez, or Napoles... it's a bona fide, big sloppy ethnic Mexican.

This is a great time to be alive. I don't think I have ever loved Boxing more than I do now, thanks to Ruiz.

Remember when Cain won the Heavyweight belt? That was amazing, too.
Messicans showing up the MessiCAN'Ts, baby!
Jajajaja thanks, man, Andy is a good person and a good fighter, he deserved all this

I think this was history and people will talk about this 40, 50 years later, like the K.O of Márquez against Pacquiao

Agreed. We can have more than one heritage. That is exactly what immigrants have done in this country and what has made immigrant friendly. It would never do to say to a Filipino American for example, "ok buddy choose one or the other are you an American? or a Filipino!?" No.... Instead a Filipino individual will have children that speak both languages, retain the culture that makes them unique, and contribute that culture to the melting pot that is America.

So because of Filipino immigrants I learned how to cook in a restaurant as a kid. I was not making hamburgers, steaks...I was making Lumpia Shanghai, Pork and chicken adobo, etc. And as I studied the martial arts later down the line I ran into some Filipino's who are also American who were very good with the stick and blade....again, IN ORDER TO SHARE those SKILLS? these individuals had to take a part of their culture and put it into the melting pot so someone like myself could learn from it.

I still make one of the meanest Adobo sauces and am really hell with a stick and blade! LOL.

The Messican fan base improves anything it touches and it has now touched the heavyweight division. This will be great for boxing and it will encourage Mexican fighters in the heavy divisions.

Also there is no question that Ruiz' style is messican! He actually fights a lot like Chris Ariola but has that tremendous hand speed that adds a dimension to his game. He is lso more technically savy than Chris. Always thought this kid was talented and would go places. I just could not figure out what he had been up to before this fight. It seemed he jumped off the map after he got jobed in the Parker fight.
