Though I don't actually wish any ill will toward AJ and I was calling him the best current HW up until this event, I'm over the moon that something interesting actually happened in boxing this week. I was starting to giving up.
I had no interest in the fight and thought it’d be a routine 6-7 round defence, my intentions were to watch a rerun in the morning which I did, when I saw the fight I was kind of mixed feelings like when Povetkin hurt AJ I be like I’m not even sure I want this guy to actually beat AJ ! Same with Ruiz but I suppose it potentially opens up the door for a Wilderand Ruiz fight should it be more lucrative for Andy to avoid the rematch, I suspect Hearn will pay more to keep the belts out of Al’s reach though yet it’ll be interesting to see how things unfold the next few months, a Wilder vs Ruiz fight could be an intriguing fight and Wilder with all the belts would really put him in the driving seat for negotiations vs Hearn.

I’d like to see Ruiz come in having shed even more weight and looking even better, the way he fought in the shape he looked if he could somehow dedicate himself to the sport he could be a phenomenal challenger.

Thing with Wilder is how often have we seen him outboxed, I very much doubt he’d be up on cards against Andy should he stop him all that said I see Andy stopping Wilder too, Fury I very much doubt he’d have any problems with Ruiz stylistically he’d dwarf him.

Surely boxing to his strengths AJ can beat Andy in a rematch with U.K. officiating too, maybe their was a real apprehension knowing he wouldn’t get favourable decisions repeatedly as the U.K. tends to lean its fighters.
