When Wilder was a clear B side project seemed to think he should get 50% just to make the fight.

Why would that change if Joshua regains his titles? Suddenly the B side gets less?

In any case. A side/B side stuff isn't about having a zero in the column. It's bringing commercial value.

In that scenario, Joshua would be a two time heavyweight champion, having just sold out MSG, outearning Wilder by multiples for years. And everyone loves a bit of adversity don't they? This loss is huge news, and a rematch will be big too.

Yeah what about them? Ortiz for example, he was already offered 7 Mill by aj, cuz aj stock has dropped does that give ortiz the leverage to demand 10 or 15 now? Surely if Joshua stock has dropped ortiz should be set to receive even less.

Joshua lost, his stock took a hit but are you suggesting now he has lost he needs to pay people more?

No not at all but he will bend with his demands
Maybe it’s Hearn who will have to bend but nobody will want to give in to any of their demands
Purses will be much closer after tonite’s fiasco

Bet you Hearn has something to say about that
Idk man. Eddie seems like he's only thinking about a rematch so far, but maybe that changes.

While it was a beatdown at a certain point lets not forget that Joshua had Ruiz down first & maybe being a lil too over ambitious with ending the fight is what got Joshua caught & eventually lead to him being the one catching an L.

So that being the case I kinda think Team Joshua sees a path to victory in a rematch if they are just more cautious/smarter when they hurt Ruiz. So idk that they will change their mind on a rematch.

If they do I'd bet it goes sideways with some "injury" Joshua needs fixed over some "we don't want a rematch so soon" angle doe so they'll fit it in sneakier to look better to the public. Cuz part of this thing with Ruiz is I think there is a high probability Ruiz has some Buster Douglas post-Tyson W turnaround that makes him an easier guy in the rematch so giving Ruiz a lil more time or rope to hang himself with might be +EV for Team Joshua.

Yea if Joshua can win a rematch he's right where he was as the A side although I do think the 50/50 argument got better for Wilder's side all the same.

I think if theirs an immediate rematch , Ruiz will win again
Would be in Hearns best interest to keep Joshua away from Ruiz
After the knockdown to Ruiz , he seemed to have no fear of Joshua and that’s not a good thing
I think that momentum would carry over if an immediate rematch was to happen

I suspect the odds will be pickem-ish, but I suspect I'll favor Ruiz myself.

That said lets not forget who Ruiz is. He's literally 2019 Buster Douglas now & we know what happened to Buster after his big upset W. I could easily see Ruiz happy with his accomplishments & just phone it in in a rematch.

Or in otherwards I'll take the under on Ruiz getting beaten within 2.5 fights cuz he's just not THAT guy. He's a fat lazy lacking in motivation in the past guy who's not gonna turn into some old school warrior off of a great W. If anything he'll get imposter syndrome & be 275lbs in the rematch with a real training camp or will go south soon even if he can repeat the Joshua W.

                  I hope not for him
He needs to keep it real without doubt
Hopefully propels him to train harder
I thought he actually looked pretty good tonight considering he weighed 268

Sure he must be ecstatic that his fighter won, but Ruiz will have to also win the rematch or else it won't really matter.

But Ruiz himself is the most who is the most ecstatic. Can you imagine the type of offers he will get if he wins the rematch? DAZN may legit offer him 20M+ for like a three or four fight deal. If the Wilder undisputed fight is on the table, he is going to get a crazy pay day there. Even if Ruiz loses the rematch, he got himself some big future fights off this performance/win.
