That said lets not forget who Ruiz is. He's literally 2019 Buster Douglas now & we know what happened to Buster after his big upset W. I could easily see Ruiz happy with his accomplishments & just phone it in in a rematch.

Or in otherwards I'll take the under on Ruiz getting beaten within 2.5 fights cuz he's just not THAT guy. He's a fat lazy lacking in motivation in the past guy who's not gonna turn into some old school warrior off of a great W. If anything he'll get imposter syndrome & be 275lbs in the rematch with a real training camp or will go south soon even if he can repeat the Joshua W.

Dude you are really wrong here. Ruiz and Parker are much more technically sound than Joshua.

Go back and look at the Parker fight. Parker stunned AJ with a solid right hook and later a uppercut that had AJ seriously hurt. Had it not been for the Ref stepping in a few times to save sorry @$$ AJ he could have gotten popped then.

Ruiz was the same guy he was against Parker except Parker has the skills and endurance to go 12 rounds without being put on his @$$ or looking dead tired. Ruiz barely lost to Parker and Parker got robbed vs AJ due to ref interference when AJ was hurt and the Ref calling minute time outs to let AJ clear his head.

Say what you want about Ruiz but he has star power being the first Mexican Hwy champ. How can you not like this guy???

He's like your Super Nice Fat Mexican friend you used to ride bikes with to go to 7-11 with to buy Slurpies. When the bigger kids would try to steal your bike and his Slurpie he would go into Mexican assassin mode and to defend his friends and his Slurpie.

I guess the lesson here is to never steal a Fat Mexican kids slurpie or dont under estimate fighters who look like Catholic alter boys but the point is Rivas isnt a flash in the pan.

Ruiz and Parker now have raised there status due to the victory. AJ can comeback but its not like him losing is going to kill boxing.

The same people who talk about the glory days of boxing are salty about fighters being undefeated when they match up. Im sorry but Ruiz did what s champ does and thats beat the best to be the best.

Ruiz is going to be a favorite and deserves a third fight even if he loses. He didnt win by fluke. He systemstically broke that man down to the point that he now fear Ruiz in the ring.

AJ got his cookies took at lunch time by the Fat Black Bully aka Jarrell Miller then when he got suspended from school the Fat Mexican kid thought you drank his Slurpie and he spazzed out and kicked AJs @$$. It was a VERY bad day for AJ who had just transfered schools and was trying to fit in and make new friends.

This fight opens the door for more than just a Wilder vs AJ showdown and make fights like Parker vs Fury and Ruiz vs Wilder relevant. Parker could outpoint Wilder if given the chance and Ruiz has the power to hurt anybody.

Money wise I find it funny that people can say that Mexicans are boxings biggest fans and see the success DLH, Chavez, and Canelo had and say Ruiz cant be a bigger star even though he has the biggest historical victory out of all of them.

Ruiz is a effing cash cow in a PPV Vegaa fight. Half of California will be at his next fight if he beats AJ again. It could make him more popular than Wilder and Canelo. Canelo didn't even beat Floyd and he got more popular. Ruiz is Hwy champ and there is no reason unless AJ embarrasses him in the UK for him not to be a big star and worth a big PPV on May 5th weekend.

Ruiz is a legit champ and America/Mexico should be proud.
AJ is the lazy bum you speak of. Camps in Miami, not taking his opponent serious, and having the cardio of a couch potato lead to a lack of focus that lead to last night. Dont disrespect Ruiz because AJ fought like a bum. Call out AJ for not having heart with things got tough in America.

AJ is juiced to the gills or at least pumped so full of GNC supplements that he probably *****$ pure protein whey and puts it right back into the blender. He needs to put down the weight and move to Vegas or Michigan.

Have Floyd Sr teach you how to shoulder roll or have Johnathan Banks teach you how to move your head in an orthodox style. There are levels and Dojos in this boxing game. He needs the proper training so can he learn like Lennox did with Manny Stewart. If he wants to compete he better ditch those English guys who constantly produce losers and fighters who always end up on their @$$ (Fury, Brooks, Khan, Hatton, AJ) Fury is the only guy with any defensive skills.

AJ needs to learn from the best or stay in the UK fighting club bouncer and body builders. Hearn better humble AJ and bring his sorry @$$ to Kronk or continue to get his @$$ kicked.

And I think I'm long winded on here.

I ain't reading this whole essay, but grazing it the fact is Ruiz isn't a star just cuz his Mexican. There are plenty of Mexicans in boxing & obviously they all aren't stars.

Ruiz isn't mentally strong enough to have some long reign at HW. He's mentally soft, but he got up for this huge opportunity just like Buster Douglas did vs Tyson back in the day. His career is gonna be more like Buster's career then he's becoming the HW Canelo. Wait & see don't write me another essay about it brother.

Haymon was the biggest winner. Imagine how big a Ruiz-Wilder FOX PPV will be!

Bet you Hearn has something to say about that
Hearn will be the one forcing it, if anyone.

By not exercising the rematch, he essentially gives up the belts to stay within the PBC circle. That’s no good for Hearn, DAZN etc..

They will at least want the chance to get them back and regain some power and leverage.

Like I said earlier on , I thought he had more boxing skills and ring iq than what he showed tonite
Hey , who am I to judge , maybe he comes back and becomes the greatest champ of all time
I think not but you never know
