He’ll come back, of course. This was the drake curse haha.

He’ll come back, Andy Ruiz will probably make the mistakes every shock champion made before him and go on a media tour and get even fatter and then AJ will will win the rematch presumably in his own back garden.

But history tells us the stench of an early KO loss lasts forever. Klitschko, Lewis etc. they were known as chinny.

Up to AJ to show everyone what he’s made of now.
it was bad.... he got destroyed, in america by an al haymon fighter, he showed some terrible vulnerabilities as well that fighters will capatalize of of but his heart is what was the worst of it all, he QUIT

AJ has to be 1st. Don't ever let Andy feel comfortable or take a forward step without being punished. AJ was way too lax and defensive. No need for that.

And bending down...WTF. Bending down right into his shorter mans range !!!

Land your combo and pivot or take A step back.

      He gave every advantage away
      Ruiz exploited the situation

Now we have to hear/read about how a fat slob beat up a gym rat

But it wasn't down to him mentally breaking, just his body.

Different case with Joshua, he was broken mentally.

The spitting of gum shield, the running to your corner, looking for help, holding on to the ropes.

Your body recovers, very difficult to change the mindset of someone who quits when the going gets tough.

agreed except for the landing combos part, 1. i dont think he can do it anymore and 2. is it a good idea? ruiz is most dangerous in the exchanges. he needs to pull a wlad klitschko and jab him to death and occasionally land the right

No need to let Andy get close. None whatsoever. Don't set up your combos with hooks, concentrate on straight shots.

Pump them jabs and chase them with rights. Keep him on the outside until you know he's dead on his feet.

Was AJ overwhelmed with this whole ''fighting in America'' nonsense ?!?!?

              yeah that should

I don't think so. He said he shouldn't underestimate him but probably did anyway. Like you said, he didn't have a plan. It sure looked it, probably thought his power would bail him out and it did.

I agree, he was horribly exposed and took a real beating.

He will never be the same mediocre fighter he was before.

Anthony Joshua reminded me of Mares when he got destroyed by Gonzalez, same look of the face & eyes damn Abner never became the mega star some people thought he could be, AJ @ least made more money yet he would be lunch for Ruiz again, Fury, Wilder just for being exposed way worse than when an old washed up Wladimir K did

How are you not getting this?

Joshua got beaten up, he was out boxed and quit

You don't fluke outbox someone and knockdown them down 4 times and then quit.

                      That is not a fluke.

You can land a hail mary punch and get a KO though.
Can you see he was concussed after the shot to the temple that hurt him and he wasn’t himself after the 3rd rd? That shot was a fluke that hit him because he was reckless after dropping Ruiz.

He’ll be back but he just needs to change his trainer and a lot of people on his team. Less muscles, better conditioning and a coach that can help him use his reach and jab properly.
