None of the great fighters from the 70s-90s are undefeated so having an 0 on your record isnt an end all be all.

Wilder vs AJ is well known power vs power. I dont think these two will have any problem getting causal interest. With the hype machines behind AJ and DW there wont be a lack of interest.

I dont know what AJ fans want at this point. They say Wilder inst a big enough star to earn 50/50 with AJ yet dont want him to do the things he needs to do to increase his supposed low value.

How is Wilder supposed to increase his value and his profile without fighting worthy opponents?? Some act like he's supposed to fight AJ on call and then take whatever deal is thrown his way.

AJ is in a real bind unless Hearn does a good job convincing the public guys like Dubois and Usyk are ready and worthy. Joyce and David Price arent going to move the needle. If he wants the American market then he needs to sign Franklin asap and build his brand so he can face AJ on good terms.

That is a great post. The argument against a 50/50 split is that Wilder is the "B-side". He is attempting to become an "A-side". Either he should be offered a comparable split or Hearn and Joshua should STFU and let Wilder do his thing!

“Till this day” I don’t understand why AJ hasn’t pushed for a Fury fight. That fight would be huge in the U.K. After all the BS back and forth with Wilder last year. He allowed Deontay to sign the Fury fight right under his nose. And he’s done it again this year. I can semi-understand on him not jumping on Fury last year. Due to people buying into the nonsense that Tyson was gonna be a shell of himself. But after Fury’s performance against Wilder last Dec, AJ-Fury is just as big, if not a bigger fight than AJ-Wilder. It’s really confusing as to why AJ doesn’t seem interested in fighting Fury.

        The heavyweight is not hot

Wilder is docking AJ,at the same time building his profile with all the tired legs available to him,aj should face the reality and keep on fighting his mandatories for the time being

So when is Wilder ready to face the #1 in the division? Seems like he was lying all these years about one name, one champ bla bla. Jeez that american paperchamp is a disgrace to the sport.

Pac was on a 3 fight win streak before the Floyd fight. so technically he had to climb back up the ladder. and he lost to a legend in Marquez. if AJ somehow gets starched by Ruiz you can stick a fork in that Wilder fight.

Imagine 30 years from now...fans COULD be talking about this as a heavyweight golden age with rematches or trilogies between Joshua-Fury, Wilder-Joshua, Fury-Wilder...these could known as the three kings of the era!

                  Unlikely...unfortunately.

I aint privy to negotiations and don't care who gets paid what...but Joshua SEEMS to be the only one who wants these fights. Lions don't chase bunny rabbits so if you're the champ, you don't chase NOBODY - just keep fighting...remember, Ali defended against Jean Pierre Coopman, Richard Dunn, & Alfredo Evangelista too, not just Frazier, Foreman and superfights.

Joshua should just do what fighters do and keep defending his titles against whoever wants a shot at glory. Fighters fight...talkers talk...history will judge who was what.
AJ wants "these" fights. Are we talking Fury or Wilder? His desire has never translated to action. Where was DAZN and Hearn with a 80m deal like Arum and ESPN?

We are going to be on Fury vs Wilder 2 possibly 3 before AJ gets to tangle with either. You can't trash the 2nd and 3rd ranked guys in YOUR eyes for fighting if the supposed #1 guy who has a rep for giving out BS offers to fight both guys. Instead of being happy 2 & 3 are fighting for the second time, Wilder get called out because he's not willing to fight Fury and AJ back to back to back to back.

AJs team has been acting like they have been reigning supreme over the Hwy division for 13 years like Wlad. AJs crown ***el on his resume is Wlad and will still be Wlad unless Ruiz, Parker, Martin, or Whyte beat anyone of relevance.

AJ need not fight anyone of note if his fans are happy with Pulev and Ruiz type fights. AJ is in a weird place tonight because he my feel some pressure to hurt Ruiz early instead of letting the fight come to him.

Ruiz needs to avoid AJs right hand for the first three rounds and try to counter him with a hard uppercut if AJ leans in aggressively to let AJ know this aint gonna be a beatdown.

AJ should take his time and try work on not taking so many right hands. Work his way into the 10th with a dominate crisp performance and possibly have the fight stopped in the later rounds. Give the Brits who traveled across the pond some time to belt out a few fight song before he gets his victory. If he KOs Ruiz in the first then we wont get to hear 10k Brits give us their best drunken version of Sweet Caroline.
