He is right... the ringside officials gave Wilder extra time to recover at the start of the 8th round. And hopefully nothing like that happens again. That was TOTAL b.s.

As for the rematch, Ortiz isn't prone to mistakes, and Wilder IMO has hit a wall. Just so Ortiz avoids incoming, his boxing skills are much better than Wilder's non-existent boxing skills. This may end up like the way the Fury fights will end up... a trilogy. Which is fine with me.

Ortiz is old, he looks flabby and wrinkled, he has high blood pressure for Christ sakes...his fights after the lost to Wilder has not been impressive...this fight is a sham!

I wouldn't count him out just yet. That was the same mistake most boxing fans made the last time by writing Ortiz off after his run at Matchroom Boxing with fights against Malik Scott and Dave Allen.

Then he came out and shocked everyone with his performance against Deontay Wilder the first time. He looked like a whole new different fighter that night.

So just because he hasn't looked his sharpest in recent bouts does not necessarily mean that he won't rise to the occasion again this time against "The Bronze Bomber".

Ortiz has no chance. He struggles to KO even bums these days and even if he wins every round, the judges will give the decision to Wilder. At best he can hope for a controversial loss again and maybe a 3rd fight like Wilder said he wanted.

Ortiz needs a good set of judges and 9 great rounds to win this. Wilder is flawed, but the dude has whiskers and he is quick and long. He will score around Ortiz and his very traditional defense. And what you said about Ortiz diminishing power is undeniable. I can see a couple of scenarios where Ortiz can get the upset, but they are so unlikely.

Unlike most, I do not think Ortiz is so significantly worse that this is a blow out. But I cannot see it ending with the Cuban pulling the upset either.

Well i think the cuban version of george foreman will get stopped sooner than for the first time. Another impressive knockout for Wilder.
I believe that Ortiz is to old to do any better than last time. Hes still one of the best but not good enough to beat Wilder. I also believe the Big 3, Joshua, Fury and Wilder can only lose fighting each other at this point. There is no one else out there who could beat them.
