Correct me if I'm wrong but you're basically saying that nobody is really an American because your ethnicity is everything? Leonardo Di Caprio is just a citizen but he's Italian, right? Did he bring back that Oscar he won a couple of years ago to Italy? Is Scarlett Johansson Polish and Danish and not really an American? I mean we can go on and on.

Andy Ruiz is an American of Mexican descent. This is a fight between an American and an Englishman. The American happens to be of Mexican decent and the Brit is of Nigerian heritage. Shouldn't be that difficult.

talking about or describing someone. "That Black guy, that White dude, that Puerto Rican man or that Chinese lady" is how I hear people described. They might do but never in my life have I EVER heard anyone add American to the end of it. Maybe because it's not needed. I went to Puerto Rican parade and saw a beautiful Puerto Rican girl.
