Bottom line everyone in America has roots in other countries. Isn't that what makes you an American???

Andy Ruiz is an American of Mexican descent. This is a fight between an American and an Englishman. The American happens to be of Mexican decent and the Brit is of Nigerian heritage. Shouldn't be that difficult.
And what's the problem with Andy claiming to be Mexican, if he wants to be called mexican, so what? he has the right to say and do whatever the hell he wants, he lives in a free country, last time I check that was a right to citizens of this beautiful nation.

My father is white and my mom is Mexican and I'm proud of both heritages, as a matter of fact, my dad is the most Mexican gringo ever. He wishes to retire in San Miguel de Allende and spend the rest of his life there, where people are nice, humble and very caring.

I claim both countries as my own because when I go there they don't treat me like a stranger, on the contrary people that don't even know me or my family they open up their home to us just because their family knew friends of my family.

There is a big community of retirees from all over the world, but 90% of Americans over 1.5 million and none of them have ever been disrespected or put down. So if Andy likes to count himself as a Mexican, so what?!

U say fanpoints like its a bad thing. No shame in him making fans, thats dinero. Mexican fans + a Snickers sponsorship would be life changing.

I'm proud of both countries so I'll say I'm Mexican born in L.A!

Be whatever you imagine yourself to be but how are you going to take a title BACK to a country you never lived in.
I was born in California too, how am I going to take a title back to the Ukraine?

Lol @ that quote. And, people are defending it like it makes sense somehow.
What an idiot. If he doesn't appreciate the opportunities and life the US gave him, I hope he does go to Mexico and stays.
Being proud of your heritage doesn't obligate a person to say ******, pandering things.
