This kind of talk always cracked me up. Do people really expect a superstar to rise every day? Haha If they did, they wouldn’t be anything special. Puerto Rico produces quality fighters. At some point, someone will come along to meet those high expectations. In the meantime, young PR fighters are being subjected to unnecessary pressure. I just don’t get it.

I miss the days of hearing salsa blasting out of the cars instead of annoying ass dembo and this newer reggaeton sound. Rant over.
Haha Totally with you on the music, brother. I hesitate to criticize newer musical styles, because every older generation always thinks their music was better than what followed, but I personally cannot stand to listen to a lot of the newer Latin sounds. People enjoy them, and that’s fine, but none for me, thanks.

Of course finding a Trinidad/Cotto caliber fighter is a very tough task but PR will always produce solids
If they always have somebody who is that somebody right now? Lol.

This is 100% correct. They start getting hyped up very very early in their careers as the next Tito or cotto and the hype gets to your head and they feel untouchable. They believe they are superstars before they even get close to reach that level.

I agree but it wasnt salido that did the first damage to juanma it was Roger's Mtagwa. It was like 4 fights prior to the first salido fight and he showed juanma vulnerability. Juanma threw everything at him and mtagwa held on and beat the living **** out of juanma in the 12th round and had him out on his feet. Somehow juanma survived but he never looked the same after and just brawled everyone. U can see in ever vs Marquez even though he won he didnt look great imo and then salido took what was left of him.

What about that young kid who is like 15 supposed to be a prodigy just signed with top rank. They saying he could be the next PR superstar. This shyt all goes in cycles. Right now PR is kinda down but just a matter of time until the next hyped up kid who everyone rallies around comes.
