Does Danny Garcia really count? lol I feel like the fact he doesn't speak spanish and reps Philly more then PR takes him out the running. And the one and only time he fought in PR was a total disaster. That was the Herrera fight where he got whooped and escaped with a robbery. He hasn't been back since. Clearly Trinidad and Cotto aren't even taking him into consideration.

The difference is that for some reason having one loss to a good opponent instantly makes a fighter trash. Also, the fact that people find it treasonous to be a fan of more than one boxer...

I don’t usually care where a boxer is from but with no big Puerto Rican fighters it does feel like a void is there. One of my favorite experiences is being at the Trinidad-Mayorga fight and the crowd roar when Tito came to the ring. That was an unforgettable night.

However not having the Mex vs PR rivalry does not go unnoticed in the sport!
One of my first PR fighters that i watch was wilfredo gomez!!! Dude was a beast!

Mexico-Puerto Rico had so many classics. Gomez-Pintor, Sanchez-Gomez, Trinidad-Vargas, Rosario-Ramirez II being the highlights for me.

Danny is the closest but he doesn't rep PR he's all about philly. He doesn't even sport the flag so he doesn't get the love you'd expect from the mother land
True...But u think they will come out to support him vs Mike?
