Who cares if he fought exciting fights, they werent against great fighters. He gets his ass kicked everytime he fights a great fighter. He also lost 2 of them fights of the year i believe. I like Gatti but the guy is not a hall of famer.

A victory over Baldomir and a linear title will only help his cause.Go Gatti

yeah I agree, a win over baldi, giving him another title, I think will get him in. Many never thought he'd make it this far with the wars he's been in.

won the KO of the year against ruelas.
is one of the biggest box office attractions in boxing.
            doesnt dodge anybody.
gave three of the greatest fights in history.
has more heart than anybody in the sport.
has faced two of the greatest boxers in our era (floyd and oscar).

All the stuff you are listing isn't PERFORMANCE related. Is Gatti an exciting fighter?? Yes. Because he is average and that makes for competitive fights.

He is in "fight of the year" against 10 loss fighters that decent fighters are DOMINATING. That is nothing to be proud of.

You said that he "faced two of the greatest boxers of our era". Yes, he did. AND HE GOT BADLY DOMINATED AND HUMILIATED IN BOTH FIGHTS. SHOWING THAT HE DIDN'T BELONG IN THE SAME RING AS THOSE GUYS.

By the way, Gatti is NOT one of the "biggest box office attractions in boxing history". Gatti had ONE big PPV fight. He and Mayweather did 350K buys. And in the next PPV, Mayweather did almost 400K with Judah.

I will be glad to post the list of both box- office leaders and PPV leaders. PizzaBoy is on neither list.

            True story.
you dont need to be in PPVs to be a box office draw, you dumb-****.

the HOF isnt about performance. its about historical relevance. your standards of the HOF are so damn high, you probly think only elite fighters can get in.

barry mcguigan wasnt a great fighter. but whenever he fought, protestants and catholics all stopped fighting each other long enough to what him fight. he was some1 that all of ireland could be unified under.

gatti is probly one of the most inspirational fighters today. his heart and courage are unparalelled, even legendary. his heart, his story, his courage, and his style should allow him to get into the HOF whos the exact opposite of you: unbelievably low standards.

know which HOF your talking about before you start to argue like the child that you are. better yet, dont talk or argue at all, you suck at it.

Look, this Gatti worship is reaching the level of the absurd. Some of you guys must take Jim Lampley's commentary during Gatti's fights as gospel. The guy has heart, yes, but so do a hell of a lot fighters who range in talent from bums to champions.

BTW with the incredibly low standards on the IBHOF, Gatti is a shoe in.

I said that I can post BOTH the box-office leaders AND PPV leaders.

Your boyfriend Arturo is on neither list. Neither.

                    .

                    Evil,

I told you what criteria voters use to put guys in the hall.

I challenge you Gatti-rimmers to name me a guy who is in the Hall that doesn't meet one of my criteria. Some asswipe gave me some names and got shot down with a quickness.

Writers' INFORMAL HOF criteria?? Gatti meets NONE of them.

                      Queens Dawg:

Awwww... "shut the **** up"...LOL. How silly.

Listen, your boy Arturo goes into the ring and fights ON PAR with second and third rate boxers. In fact, most second rate guys like Manfredy, Ward and Ivan Robinson have given Gatti major problems.

Everytime Gatti tries to step , he gets DOMINATED AND HUMILIATED. Case closed.

Go watch the Mayweather fight. Tell me at what point Gatti "hurt him to the body", or "tried to punch his shoulder off", as he promised. Not even in the first and second round. As soon as he got hit, he started to cower.

                      Your hero was cowering.

btw, you embarrass yourself (and Queens) when you TELL people to shut up, but can't MAKE them. Not a good look for you.
