If a bum like Gatti makes it into the hall of fame it should be disbanded as a organization. I know the internet is filled with white guys who do nothing but blow the skills of mediocre white fighters out of proportion but this is amazing. Losing with courage or struggling to beat club fighters like Micky Ward does not qualify anyone for the hall!

What else has he done besides losing to the top fighters? Micky Ward is a total bum so beating him means nothing! You put two evenly matched bums in the ring you will probably get a good fight but does it mean they are great fighters? Only if you are an idiot.

gatti's done a whole lot more for the sport than you have, not to mention hes done more with his life that you could even dream about. respect ur superiors, rump-rider.

I'm new to these boards, but correct me if I'm wrong - I've never seen DUPLICITY campaigning to get himself voted to the Boxing Hall Of Fame. I believe the topis is whether Arturo Gatti should be in the Hall or not. Don't act immaturely.

So, if a WIN over baldi was supposed to HELP his cause... does an EMBARRASSING LOSS at the hands of baldi HURT his cause?

Arturo Gatti is a joke.

WHY ARTURO GATTI SHOULD NOT BE IN THE HALL OF FAME:

1) He has NEVER beaten an elite fighter.

2) He has never even been COMPETITIVE with an elite fighter.

3) He has struggled and even lost to middling fighters.

4) He has never dominated a division, or legitimately won a quality belt. (saturday may change that)

5) There are many better lightweights, junior welterweights, and welterweights during his era.

Guys, having a Fight of the Year with Micky Ward is EXACTLY why he should NOT be in the Hall. Micky Ward is a guy who was DOMINATED by one Mr. Zabdiel "Super" Judah. The fact that Gatti struggles with this guy THREE times tells you he is a second-rate fighter. At best.

If Gatti wants into the Hall, the ticket office is open from 10am to 4pm.

Add to the above that he got DOMINATED and KO'd by Carlos Baldomir.
