Wow that was significantly lower than I was expecting . The plus side is at least his exposure since the fight was good but there is an argument this has decreased his bargaining chip against AJ now? There is a possibility (although maybe small?) Joshua will sell more ppv in the uk despite it being at an unfavourable time zone to what wilder had watching him for free!

For Boxing and on Showtime? Those numbers are Strong

Showtime #1 Show Billions average ratings are 0.2 which translate into about 785K Vewiers so I'm sure Showtime are very happy with this number on top of winning 2 more Emmy's for their Boxing Coverage yesterday

Showtime is not going away anytime soon as much as you have so called boxing fans praying for it to happen. CBS/Showtime seems to be very happy with their numbers and that is all that matters

Only thing I want to know is why they don't put boxing on CBS more but when they covered MMA, Strikeforce would be on CBS all the time and boxing gets way more ratings than Strikeforce did

It would be awesome if they did. Wonder if it has to do with what sponsors want as boxing can be controversial to the general public.

it was a great fight for boxing fans and creates major buzz for the HW division, stop trying to tear everything down its childish, be a boxing fan not a fanatic of one boxer.

most networks are in the business of offering guys 100 mil deals when nobody know them or care about them! LOL
That deal was all about Joshua, FFS why are you so ****** you can't see that? Wilder can't draw **** without Joshua and lesser extent Fury. He isn't a draw.

Have any of Wilder’s fights on Showtime ever even passed the PPV buys of Canelo vs. GGG 2? Which were 1.1M buys.

The clown is the biggest superstar in the sport though, LMAO.

People here in LA post on IG they have several hundred tickets and will sell for pennies on the dollar and then dump them off free at local gyms for the ones they don’t move. There are lots of ways to manipulate floyd was the master when he was neck and neck with Pacquiao. Day of the fight he would buy extra tickets to make his gate higher than the previous Pacquiao fight.
PBC hides their live gate figures. MMA payout just got their hands on the live gate for the last PBC fight with Hurd on FOX. Look what percent of the attendance actually paid? Almost 60% of the attendance did NOT pay.

MMA Payout has obtained from the Commonwealth of ******ia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation the attendance, gate and payouts from the PBC on Fox event at the Eaglebank Arena in Fairfax.

The main card which aired on Fox and took place at the Eaglebank Arena in Fairfax drew a gate of $283,941.25 with 6,713 in attendance. Of the attendance, 2,850 paid while there were 3,863 comps. Of the tickets sold, 675 were purchased via discount.

Nobody not any other promoter is inflating their attendance numbers like PBC. Giving out some comps is normal in boxing but giving out this high a percent of comps is NOT normal. Let alone for big fights.

In fairness the TS might have an agenda, but the OP is just facts, not sure how reporting numbers is trying to tear everything down

DAZN really lucked out with not having to pay Wilder 20m and Brezeale 7m for this fight. They are not good numbers at all. I expected a minimum of 1.2m viewers.
