Mostly bought by the traveling British contingent. No one is arguing that limeys are the most supportive fanbase in boxing.

Wilder isn't a big draw. He's living off Joshua's name.

They were par for the course. Were you expecting 18k or something? Breazeale was seen as a mismatch and got what was expected. He fights Ortiz again and you see better numbers and if against Kownacki? Then you really may get what you're looking for.

That's actually pretty good for this fight the problem is they gave away thousands of tickets away for free to inflate the attendance number. I saw Ticketmaster right before they stopped selling tickets and there were still thousands of tickets unsold for a venue that was only configured for about 12-13K. So either they sold 3-5K tickets after they started letting people in OR they just gave the rest of the tickets away and started letting people in for free. The latter is more likely. If they really did sell tickets they will be releasing live gate figures which tell you exactly how much money it generated and exactly how many tickets were actually sold. If PBC doesn't release the live gate it's because likely half those tickets were given for free.

Breazeale wasn't seen as a serious threat by most fans.

Fury, AJ, Whyte, Miller, and Ortiz rematch would all do higher numbers.

              Johann Duhaupas: 8,471

              Artur Szpilka: 12,668

              Chris Arreola: 11,974

              Gerald Washington: 12,346

              Stiverne 2: 10,924

              Ortiz: 14,069

              Fury: 17,698

              Breazeale: 13,181

I will tell you why. I know people making excuses for Wilder but quietly scratching their heads cuz he seems popular but nobody goes to his fights. HE IS TOO MUCH, HE IS OVER THE TOP. Wilder acts like a Wrestler but this is a real sport. He is way too cliched, the mask, the outfits, the alter ego, the speaking in riddle, the whispering, the acting like Floyd then acting like Tyson then acting like other fighters. Its too cringe to enjoy, too cringe to actually show your face and support.

They recognize him, we all have to recognize him but they are also a little embarrassed by him.

Nope, they sold more tickets than you thought. You said there were only 12k seats maximum and that turned out to be wrong. I said the number would be more than Stiverne 2 but less than Ortiz, and that was right on the mark.

They were configured for only 12-13K seats with the rest of the sections blocked out. From wed to Saturday moments before Ticketmaster stopped selling tickets online (because the venue doors opened) there was no movement in tickets that were unsold. So either they sold close to 3-5K tickets AFTER the card already started (very unlikely) or they gave thousands of tickets away for free (very likely has happened at many PBC events).

If they actually sold 13K they will release live gate figures if they don't it's to hide the fact that they handed out thousand and thousands and made little money off actual tickets sold.

But everyone was saying he's a much bigger star after Fury.
