But sh^t man come on EVERYONE knows or should know Arum is a bean counter promoter. Thats why he can't make the biggest non-in house fights for most of his biggest stars. And Manny is still active so while its unlikely maybe Manny does end up somehow making his biggest payday outside of TR I wouldn't say it 100% is impossible to happen.

It's obvious that Bob was not convinced that the fight would sale enough to justify giving Manny such a large guarantee. He is a shrewd businessman who is in the business of making money and not losing money.

Remember this was not prime Pac we are talking about here. This is the current version of Pac who is challenging Keith Thurman in July. Bob feared losing money in giving Manny such a huge guaranteed purse.

probably the same reason that bob told floyd he couldnt make the oscar fight for him because "ill lose money"(we know the rest after that dont we).....bob knows he probably would have lost money between pac and crawfords guarantees....and hes not willing to take a loss at this point in the game with the roster he has

al haymon? he sees the bigger picture....same reason he came up with AJ's 50 million awhile back when everyone couldnt/wouldnt/didnt believe he could and figured that was crazy money for that fight.......if thurman wins its a great launchpad for him and gives him another legit star next to spence in the WW division....and he still has danny sitting around too....

al would be willing to take a lil loss here if things pan out the way he thinks

the biggest reason is al still has some of that Waddell and Teed money left so he isn’t digging into his own pocket. Arum doesn’t have just luxury plus arum lost big money on manny vs bradley 3 and lost a bit on manny vs vargas.
