Ortiz is a butterfly that thinks himself a bird. I am not sure he was confident that he would beat Joshua. He had the opportunity to contend for 4 belts plus 7m and he turned it down. Who does that?

PAY King Kong! You want a last minute notice then PAY the man! You dudes made a "lucrative offer" for yourselves not Team Ortiz.
Pay him how much exactly?? Will $500,000 do it ?

Ortiz is an old man and a black man furthermore. He is not born with a silver spoon in his mouth . It is very rare for us to be awarded millions just to see us laying on our back. His daughter should cut as many onions as she can and slap Ortiz across his face in the hope a thumb with onion residue goes in his eye.Him declining the offer is child cruelty right there

Suddenly AJ wants to fight ortiz, but won't let him have a full training champ.

AJ story about fighting the great Charles Martin and buying the world title off him was a treat to read.

I was thinking the same thing he could have easily pushed the fight back to June 15th to incorporate old man Ortiz. I think they gave him little time to train because they were scared.

Plus with the additional sweetener that he gets $20m to fight a guy he’s going to be fighting anyway (on free to air tv)

The 50/50 you mention gives no guarantee as to the rematch split unless you want to build those terms in as well and make this hypothetical deal even more favourable.

Personally I’m not of the view that Wilder really deserves 50/50 in the first place given that he’s only ever been in one PPV event which didn’t sell particularly well.

Wilder turned down a guaranteed $120 million dollars. Let that sink in.
Your info is grossly off! DAZN offered wilder $100M for 3 fights and $120M for 4 fights. Both offers were BullS#it flat fees! So wilder would make $33M or $30M per fight depending on which offer he accepted.
Wilder offered aj exactly what he asked for: $50M and a 50/50 split (no bulls#it flat fees) and AJ was guaranteed $30M for the rematch. If you cannot see that wilder offer was superior to AJs you either have a problem with math or you’re bias.
