That doesn't even make any sense. How many new subscribers were added? Dan is implying the amount of new subscribers for the fight generated more revenue than the 48M or so purse for the fighters.

If the fight added say 400,000 subscribers, and they all bought the $100 dollar package (Spoiler alert: didn't happen), that's still only $40 million.

Either Dan wrote that incorrectly, or has some terrible sources and didn't actually try to do the math lol.

Let's say this fight brought in 600,000 subscribers, and it was 50/50 in terms of yearly subscription, to monthly subscription:

    300,000 * 20 = 6,000,0000
    300,000 * 100 = 30,000,000

And the numbers still don't tie out. Unless he is talking about worldwide the fight brought in over a million subscribers and then it could generated more revenue. But most casuals probably chose the $20 dollar option over the $100 dollar option.

More likely Dan is just completely off here or has bad sources or both.

I folded and purchased it for the year, meh, 9 bucks a month for ton of boxing is fine with me. Canelo fight would've been like 80 alone it had been on PPV.

Shut up and enjoy the boxing content DAZN provides. If you do that then they will naturally grow and provide more of that content.

Don't worry about their numbers, I'm sure they know what they're doing, they have grown hugely since their launch in 2016. You dorks on the internet worrying about their finances need to get a life.
Agreed, there are lots of guys who hate it and don't want DAZN to do well, but they do it in a passive aggressive way. I think it stems from their hate for Hearn and Joshua. It's so petty and transparent, as well as extremely illogical

I have also never questioned the 4 mil worldwide total number of subscribers. I am just asking for a total in the US.

What we know is you have no source that indicates 1 million subscribers in the US. What we know is you lied about what the article stated. What we know is Lance's source suggested the 600k contiuing streams was close to the number of subscribers. That is all i posted. You perceive that as not good so you are reacting like a petulant child.

I posted the numbers from Canelo/jacobs was great so again how does that equate to being butt hurt?

You attack or lie about anyone that doesn't slurp DAZN. Why do you do this? Are you heavily invested? Do you suck Hearn or Skipper c-ck on the low?
Yes you are butt sore and we all know it. you pick and choose what source to believe we BOTH know there are 2 sources who said days before the fight they were close to 1M subscribers. But you keep throwing out Lance who is simply assuming the live viewers is the same as subscribers which is not the same. Then you said that Bellator and the rest of DAZN isn't bringing in a subscribers which is just dumb. So far the most creditable person to speak on how many subscribers DAZN has is Evan Rutkowski

According to Evan Rutkowski, a former HBO executive, DAZN is close to 1 million subscribers and will likely reach that target on Cinco de Mayo weekend.
And the live viewers and ESPN reported revenue all lean towards it being likely they are at or close to 1M subscribers. Bellator alone sends DAZN their biggest fights that would normally be on PPV. And they have other content then just Canelo fights and like many told you already many who have DAZN either didn't watch it live (watched it ondemand after it was over) or were in Vegas or house parties etc. It's common sense there are more subscriptions DAZN has on top of the 600K live viewers because that's how streaming apps work the whole point of it is the convenience of being able to watch this or that and live or when you want. If you think any app not just DAZN has 100% of all their subscribers watching live at the same time you are just a phuking idiot and don't understand how subscription apps work.

So I ask you again how many subscribers you think they have stop dancing around and answer the question? Do you think it's 600K like Lance is saying and like you keep quoting then hiding behind saying well I'm not saying I said that or think that BS. Is it likely 1M or close to it or 600K? Lance is the LEAST creditable of anyone who have spoken on DAZN subscribers or their business. yes I put weight on a HBO exec and clout like Evan Rutkowski and Fat Boy Dan is quoting Revenue numbers that don't match up with 600K subscribers no matter how you try and spin it.

This is now the 2nd time you've misrepresented what a source you posted has actually written. I don't understand why you keep doing that. You again lie about me stating there are only 600k subscribers.

Why do you keep lying and misrepresenting everything posted that asks fair questions about where the app is? You did the same thing in the thread about the USA Today article, acting as if the people making complaints were lying or complaining for no reason.

It is sad to watch you behave like this over a streaming app.
Your posting press releases disguised as news & you don't even know it. That story is sourced by DAZN without an independent source backing it up. Companies do that when they're looking for a buyer

Always hard to gauge viewer numbers based on streams. Like at my house we had probably 12 people watching.

that was supposed to be to bigdunny not you.

And Rutkowski said they were close to a million a couple weeks ago. Then reports came out that Canelo brought in hundreds of thousands of viewers and only a little over half retained their subscription. So that means they were nowhere near 1mil when he wrote that. In order for us to believe they were in the positive side of 500k after the people cancelled after the Fielding fight we'd have to believe the Fielding fight brought in more viewers than the Jacobs fight which was 700k. None of these numbers add up.

DAZN’s app has metadata that shows everything about a subscription profile, times watch, etc... to filter out who’s lying and just want money back. The policy from DAZN is: “Phony refund requests ain’t trill mayne!”
