That doesn't even make any sense. How many new subscribers were added? Dan is implying the amount of new subscribers for the fight generated more revenue than the 48M or so purse for the fighters.
If the fight added say 400,000 subscribers, and they all bought the $100 dollar package (Spoiler alert: didn't happen), that's still only $40 million.
Either Dan wrote that incorrectly, or has some terrible sources and didn't actually try to do the math lol.
Let's say this fight brought in 600,000 subscribers, and it was 50/50 in terms of yearly subscription, to monthly subscription:
300,000 * 20 = 6,000,0000
300,000 * 100 = 30,000,000
And the numbers still don't tie out. Unless he is talking about worldwide the fight brought in over a million subscribers and then it could generated more revenue. But most casuals probably chose the $20 dollar option over the $100 dollar option.
