Of course he would want Lomachenko, but if Lomachenko is booked until the end of the year, then what is he going to do? He's fighting a tune up next, but then what? Not fight until like March of 2020? Top Rank needs to offer Commey some big bucks here to fight Lopez.

Other than win all his fights, i don't know. My point is he is ranked #2 and instead of getting a shot for the vacant title he has to fight 2 eliminators for a chance to fight for the title.

Just seems unfair. Not really a big issue.

I could just see the WBC board of governor's meeting. All sitting around with their Kingpin saying:

"We need to do what is right for the sport. Our version of right is getting the highest sanctioning fees." The board says, "Loma vs Campbell in England sounds lucrative." Mauricio Sulaiman is then like "$$$DONE!$$$"

Haney will be #1 contender too so between Commey, Lopez, Haney, Berchelt Loma has excellent options next year too.
It is not the same to call the wolf than to see it coming!

It's crazy! Why even have rankings, if someone not ranked at all by your sanctioning body, can just come fight for a vacant title? This also gives me no belief that the WBC will force Canelo to fight Jermall Charlo anytime soon!

I agree. Title shots should only go to fighters that have never lost. Preferrably those fighters shouldn't fight anyone worth a damn either before their title shot. As long as some corrupted sanctioning body ranking has them rated #2.

I'm surprised you're wasting energy on this argument. Clearly Lomachenko deserves a shot at any lightweight belt before Zaur Abdullaev because he's the best lightweight in the world and the best fighters in their respective weight classes should fight for the belts.

Loma will fight Campbell once his hand is good, and then he would fight Commey in the end of this year! Now if TR makes another fight for Loma, then it's possible! I think Loma gets Commey first, but I hope I'm wrong! You're right, TR is going to have to make a real big offer to Commey!

Awesome! For once the WBC bends their rules in order to help the best fighter in a division get fights with all the other best guys in the division, and collect all the belts, instead of their usual habit of bending their rules to protect Al Haymon's best fighters in a division from the best fighter in that division.

You got it backwards. Mauricio is Canelo's biggest hoe. Nelo has that fcker on a leash. the WBC will never get on Canelos bad side again

What exactly is the point of this fight? Lomafako is moving ever so closer to irrelevancy..
