Canelo did his job. He went after Jacobs and cut off the ring.

Outside of a few moments it looked like Jacobs was mostly looking to survive instead of going for it and trying for the win.

When Jacobs showed up overweight, losing a million bucks, I thought he was going to come forward and try to overpower Canelo, but still he was very cautious, scared you might say and never showed any desire to follow thru the few good punches he got in. Kudos to Canelo who has grown better with every fight and is no. 1 P4P without any doubt.

Canelo power overrated - no ko and rarely a knockdown against top competition.....his style makes for boring fights at the top level...he plays it too safe!!

actually my prediction was Canelo by UD. My favorite fighters are Barrera and morales. So what do you have to say now you groupie b***h?? Canelos fights underhwelm more than they excite. That's the truth. If that hurts you v@gina, then so be it.

Canelo pressed the action early on and Jacobs was just content to back off and throw a flimsy, distance jab. The only thing you can get on Canelo's case for (in regards of action) was laying off a bit in the early part of the second half of the fight. But Canelo didn't make this a boring fight, heck his defense was exciting.

To compare this to the GGG fights is way off. Their first fight was exciting in that G pressed the action but Canelo did a good job countering-back and forth. The second was exciting because Canelo pressed more but G outlanded (and his jab was more impactful than what Jacobs landed)- so you had each doing better in different aspects.

I believe should they fight again Canelo has the capability to make the necessary adjustments to win even more convincingly a 2nd time. I am however used to him not being aggressive enough to produce a ko.... also he does not possess the power for it either...
I honestly think he tweaked it in the 1st GGG fight with all that movement he did. Prior to that fight I would have never guessed Canelo could move like that, he's always had faster hands than feet. That was the first and only time I ever seen Canelo fight like that. I expected to see flashes of that in this fight but it was Danny who was doing it.

It doesn't seem to be hindering him though. He's always been a come forward counter puncher. And his defense seems to get better with every fight. Just shows you don't have to put on a stinker like guys like Lara used to do. For the sake of being defensive

This sounds familiar. I recall people calling another fighter a hype job for these same reasons lol

He wanted to try and outbox canelo and even while canelo made him miss and look foolish he refused to take risks. Canelo is like a Swizz army knife he can beat you many ways. He can out box you or beat the Mexican Style out your azzz like he did GGG. tonight Jacobs stayed outside constantly throwing meaningless jabs that weren't connecting. So that's why the fight played out that way. Jacobs made it a less entertaining fight and let down Brooklyn and the culture.

His power is enough to make rivals run and fought defensively like Lara, Golovkin and Jacobs.

                      His style?

He was forcing the fight against GGG ii and Jacobs
