Idk man. I see your point, but I think Haymon being humanized to the masses is needed sooner or later cuz he is such a big figure in boxing. Can't hide behind the scenes forever or you become some weirdo Howard Hughes type mfer. That hurts the brand of PBC too I feel like. People want more openness today. Haymon can keep the recluse don't talk to the media persona overall, but still give a lil something. Hell man Tim Smith is the King of All PBC Media & he barely talks to anyone either ffs. Public communication is the biggest hole in PBC game.

This originally came from Steve Kim if I'm not mistaken. It has never been confirmed. But the point I'm trying to get across is all the fighters with Haymon do not have the same contract. Spence contract with Haymon is not the same as Collazo's. And we've seen fighters leave him without having to sue to get out of a contract A little bit of common sense debunks this.

Standard in ANY contract where you have a manager. It's not just boxing.

NFL, NBA, all sports have similar clauses.

I remember back when AFL and XFL were talking about breaking that and making open leagues where people could go wherever they wanted. Notice both of them failed miserably. (XFL coming back but without any of the nonsense this time).

UFC fighters including McGregor can't just up and say "I am fighting so and so" - they have to clear it with Dana and if he says no, the fight isn't happening.

Haymon is an advisor. Like a money manager (there's your word). So it would make sense his contracts look/sound a lot like manager contracts. I pay a financial advisor ... he gets a cut of all transactions he advises me of that I take. Would make sense to me (not that I know anything about actual Haymon contracts, or care).

The lengths some of you go to to spread hate and defamation. Must be a lot of paid cronies her, along with the racists.

At the end of the day, Haymon isn't complaining. His fighters aren't complaining. Why are you all trying to imagine these 'victim' situations, where no real person is claiming to be a victim.

Then there's the fact that hearn, Arum, (add-any-promoter/advisor-here) 's contracts under scrutiny won't be any better. If they were better Haymon never could have got in the game. All the other outfits were well established when he entered boxing.

Case could easily be made that since Haymon got in the game, other promoter/advisor/managers have had to make BETTER contracts. The accusations, hate, and the thread are ridiculous.

PS - I didn't mean you personally Eff. I responded on your comment, but I'm talking to all the hater-rhetoric peeps in this thread.

But it's just boxing fans. An interview by him won't change their opinions. Boxing fans live in a bubble. Think about it. If there narratives boxing fans create were true Haymon would've been out of business years ago. PBC would be a failure. HBO would still be king.

The results doesn't reflect the the bubble boxing fans live in. The exact opposite of their narratives is true. PBC is getting better ratings than baseball, hockey, & non March Madness college basketball. But if you believe boxing fans you'd think they were getting horrible ratings & failing. Speaking to boxing fans is a waste of time.

Haymon is a manager so he's getting a cut of ANYTHING a boxer does in or out of the ring as managers tend to get cuz they are getting them the deals in & out of boxing.

A promoter 360 deal is some Don King type bs.
Is he a manager or an advisor?

The Golden Boy Lawsuit debunked this so called contract. Golden Boy said Haymon wouldn't allow his fighters to sign with promoters. The judge said Golden Boy had never sent an offer to Haymon to promote any of his fighters. While on the other hand Golden Boy prevented Luis Ortiz from fighting any PBC fighters. The judge also used the Khan/Alvarez fight as an example that Haymon allows his fighters to fight on promoters cards. Keith Connelly said Haymon helped negotiate Danny's promotional contract with Matchroom. We've seen fighters come and go freely with Haymon. But people are still believing this is his contract. A standard manager contract that can be downloaded from the internet and edited in Microsoft word.

The thing obvious from your quote is your SLANTED view on these fighters situations. 1) Ortiz & Trainer faulted their promoter NOT advisor (Haymon) for their situation. They named names and it wasn't HAYMON.

All of these fighters and their promoters are still free to make decisions, and they do make decisions (so much for the 'slave' narrative). If Wilder won't sign for reasons he proclaims, he's free to feel/act that way, no matter what anyone ADVISES him.

You trying to lay everything you don't like in boxing at Haymon's feet, or anyone else is childish/nonsensical. Typical antics from people who are searching for reasons to hate.

The nonsense is SO evident and laughable, once you've made up your mind to HATE, you reach for even the flimsy straws, to base it on. Hahahahaha! You're funny! Time for a movie ...
