Like I said idk if its where they wanna be or not. They are for sure in debt. If its expected, better or worse then expected only they know.

I suspect its not f#cking great in the US since they altered their price super early in the game. Plus breaking down the average over 10 countries ($40M to $96M) to what we know about the US potentially isn't even covering Canelo's deal ($66M/year) is definitely a lot of f#cking debt in the US when you consider there is other boxing, Bellator + other sports that are expenses + the cost of production + on air talent.

Also that $300 mil baseball show deal. The average age of baseball fan is 58 years old. Not exactly the type of tech savvy people using streaming services. .

Only the US. That's why I'm not getting why they're acting like it's a victory they have more subs than ESPN plus And ESPN plus has exclusive rights to UFC PPV so they're bringing in more money outside their subscriptions.

Yea thats $120M a year for ESPN in just the US (vs $40M-$96M in the US if we take the avg per country & add the cost of US service & its a lock its closer to the lower number right now). And idk if ESPN has gone as crazy as DAZN has with rights fees so their expenses are gonna be lower to.

Why are you only counting US? Makes zero sense to do that. Boxing fans in other countries want to see fights too. Over a million watched Joshua-Povetkin on DAZN.

Oh these PBC Al Haymon defense league must be hating this. These fools think they are at war with DAZN and Hearn or something. I think they have actually gone mad. They feel it is their job and their duty as an American citizen to try to sling mud at anything DAZN, Matchroom related.

Good for DAZN, it isnt in the UK but it seems a really good thing, only people who seem to hate it are those mental cases i mentioned above but then they feel they are on a mission from god or Al Haymon or something.

barely half of them stuck around beyond the one-month free trial to pay the $9.99 monthly rate. More than 90% of customers who cancelled the service said another Alvarez fight is what would get them to pay.

Here's another point I've been making. You can't get people to pay $9.99 a month but you think they're suddenly gonna drop $100 upfront?!?!? No. They're going to pay the $40 a year for both Canelo fights. Nobody but the most hardcore boxing fans are going to pay the $100 upfront.

If ESPN+ could launch in other countries they would have and ESPN+ offer less sports then DAZN I'm talking standalone sports. Really ESPN+ is a add on for ESPN cable subscribers. Meaning if you want to watch fights you need a cable bundle that has ESPN 40-50 bucks a month. Because half their fights are on ESPN and half on ESPN+. Some fight cards undercard on ESPN+ but then main event on ESPN. Some undercard on ESPN But main event on ESPN+. And this isn't just the case for boxing. ESPN+ has baseball but they blackout regional teams in your local area and the best Marquee games are typically on ESPN. So when people say ESPN+ is only 4.99 and look how many sports they have it's misleading. Yeah they have a lot of sports yeah they have baseball games usually the worst ones, yeah they have college football games usually the worst ones, yeah they have fights usually the worst ones or at best incomplete because half the card is on ESPN and then you have to pay PPV on top of that. It's not a bad model but it's a add on to ESPN. You need both.

DAZN has more subscriptions and charges more for subscriptions. But it's standalone you get the best of the sport and it's cheaper overal because you are not forced to pay a cable bundle with ESPN to get the best games or half the fight card.

ESPN name has been around for decades DAZN been around for a couple mins and they already global and expanding at a freak rate and are in markets ESPN couldn't get into otherwise they would already be there.

And let's say I'm a Canelo fan and I'm thinking trying to decide on the $20 a month or the $100 upfront. I can Spend $20 and get Canelo/Jacobs and Joshua/Ruiz (another Mexican fighter so that matters). What other fights do I get for that $100 that would interest me? GGG Vs. Rolls and an unnamed Canelo opponent in the fall?

They needed to have big July & August fights lined up to announce during to get people to pay the $100 or even to get people to come back and spend $40 for July & August.
