I'm shocked but then again, not totally so. This just shows that boxing is not serious about punishing those using ped's. It's a laughable punishment. It's like the tour de france was, as they must relayed the message of “well, 95% of athletes dope anyway, so just leave it”. Having said that, doping won't improve boxing skill and give you a better chin. De La Hoya still beat up the steroid using Vargas when they fought, as a case in point. That doesn't mean they have to stop these cheaters.

AFAIK, this was only a WBA decision. Legitimately absurd given the level of blatant cheating, but the following organizations also have jurisdiction as far as I know: WBC, WBO and NYSAC.
IMO, Miller should be banned for boxing for 2 years and the NYSAC should banish him form his home state with a lifetime ban from New York.

I just read on bloody elbow that Miller let his license expire with NYSAC so they can't ban him! I somehow missed that. Wow, so deviously clever from Miller.
NYSAC should sign an MOU will all state boxing commissions that includes a pledge to not license Miller for at least 2 years.Last edited by CocoonOfHorror; 05-01-2019, 12:17 PM.

Miller should be banned for life but it won’t happen since Canelo got a slap on the wrist!
The show continues, it’s gonna be hard for Fat Juice Miller to get a solid opponent now after this PED côçktail fiasco! I guess that’s a solid punishment, he’ll be fighting for peanuts against low tier acquisitions in some scur boroughs in New Jersey!
