The fans can demand this fight by not purchasing these subpar fighters that are not on the level of Crawford and Spence. Unfortunately Spence and Crawford are not an attraction like Mayweather, so using this blueprint wont work. We practically waited over 5 years to see a boring fight. I recall paying $100 for that PPV- never again.
The fans want Crawford and Spence now!!

Crawford resigned with Arum knowing the landscape. Ditto Spence.
Crawfords options going forward look extremely limited, and neither Spence or PBC are to blame for that!
If I were Spence's management and promoter I'd be looking to clean up my side of the street before even thinking about Crawford. There's plenty of money to be made against Porter, Garcia, Thurman and Pacquiao.
There's 2years worth of ppv $$ right there! Once that's banked then we look at what sort of deal Crawford is going to get with his one title!!
That's the business!!

Not picking sides and being a network/promotional cheerleader. I don't understand what's wrong y'all. Boxing would be so much better with fans supporting nonsense like this.
I don't care about the business, I also want the best fighting the best, but I'm just being realistic and explaining to you what's happening.
Spence is also being realistic, he knows Haymon/Showtime/Fox won't let him fight Crawford on ESPN, he also knows Bob Arum/ESPN won't let Bud fight him on Showtime/Fox.
The only way for the fight to happen is a co-promotion, and the only way for that is for one of either Spence/Crawford to become a mega star, enter Spence/Porter and Spence vs Thurman/Pac.
Resume is the only way to gain popularity bruh. Beat the good guys, and that, whether you want to accept it or not, is what is needed for a co-promotion like that to happen. Canelo fought Trout, Mayweather, Lara, Cotto, and Golovkin to get to where he is.
The other day Spence complained about how Crawford is being promoted, or not promoted enough. He actually wants Crawford to be promoted well just like him because he recognises that the two of them has to be big business wise and not just boxing wise for the networks and promoters to get together for a co-promotion.
Also, you have to look at the objectives of the fighters. The good thing that makes it clear that the fight will happen is that both fighters want to be undisputed. They have stated that as their objective from the start and that hasn't changed. To be undisputed you have to get all the belts, so they will have to see each other.
Fighting Crawford now not only doesn't make sense for Spence financial/business wise but also politically.
Take a good look at the landscape and tell me how many PBC fighters are holding the WBO belt right now?
You'll be hard pressed to find any. Even Mayweather couldn't hold on to the belt after he won it from Pac and had to drop it soon after.
If Spence beats Crawford now and wins the WBO, he'll likely have to drop it again before unifying the division and have to fight for it AGAIN to become undisputed. But if he fights for it last, then it doesn't matter coz he'll be moving up soon anyway and he'll have had the status of undisputed champion.
I'm not defending Spence or Crawford, I understand that Crawford will be fighting mediocre opposition in the meantime (not his fault) and therefore has to make some noise. It's actually good for their fight if he keeps calling out Spence and making it look like Spence is scared of him. It's working, people are paying attention and jumping on the bandwagon. He needs that, the fight needs that.
I repeat, neither of these guys are scared of each other. The fight will happen in 2020. Enjoy the good fights (Thurman vs Pacman, Spence vs Porter, and winners of those fights against each other).
Be greatful for the Spence vs Porter and Thurman vs Pacman fights being made because it means that the Spence vs Crawford fight is getting closer to being made. PBC is lined up perfectly and PBC is ready to clean itself out. The sooner that happens the sooner you get the fight you want, the fight we all want.
Spence isn't avoiding Crawford so that he can fight bums, he's cleaning out a stacked stable so that the Crawford fight can be made.

Spence scared the truth hurts...haymon the real winner protecting his fighters from an a$$ beating turning down 200 mill in deals this year so haymon stays undefeated and pays only around %20 of what his fighters could've earnedLast edited by lowblows420; 04-28-2019, 03:21 PM.

If Spence wins you know he's still got other options that eventually Al will enforce but likely he'd go to 54 where he still has a ton of options and he could probably win all of them.

They are announcing Spence/Porter right? That’s a unification fight. Let’s go with that for now. Good thing that am seeing or reading is boxing fans agreeing that they want to see Crawford/Spence no matter which network can showcase it or both networks. It’s great to see this sort of attitude from boxing fans. That fight can be made without any excuses.
